✨ Luciano ✨

"You sent the selected men to France, correct?" I asked as I walked quickly through the hallway into my office.

"Yes, Boss," Enzo said, following me into the office, shutting the door behind him.

"Ok, now I need someone to do something for me that is for me personally," I said, logging into my own computer.

"Okay what do you need?" He asked, crossing his arms as he leaned against the wall.

"I need someone to look into Liliana's file and see about Hugo," I said, "I just have a funny feeling about her being here,"

"Sure thing, I'll get Domenico right on that," he said. I nodded and waited for him to leave which he never did.

"Can I help you?" I asked, raising an eyebrow up at him.

"You like this Liliana girl don't you?" He asked, teasing me. I scoffed and shook my head.

"What I feel or do is my own business, Enzo," I said, rolling my eyes, "but no I do not like her," He smirked and stalked off. I rolled my eyes again but grabbed my handgun that I keep in the desk. I put a new magazine in it before putting it in my holster. I walked out the office and out to one of my cars. The computer work will have to wait. Last night was crazy...well not normal but I managed to keep everyone in line.

I pulled up to the warehouse and scanned my thumb before driving up the rest of the way. I parked in my usual spot and walked in. I nodded to the guards as I made my way to where Davidlee was.

"Boss," Alex, the guard of the door, said and let me in. In the middle of the room, Davidlee sat in a chair with his head hanging low. In the years that I knew him, never did I ever think that I would have to put him in this room but people shock me everyday.

"Davidlee," I said, sternly causing him to look up at me.

"Luciano," he said flatly. I felt a tap on my shoulder, causing me to turn and see Alex had made his way inside the room.

"Enzo said you would want to see this," he said as he handed me a file that had Davidlee's information on. I nodded and dismissed him.

"Is this folder about you?" I asked, I already knew the answer. I looked at the once friend of mine, like he was nothing but the mud beneath my boot.

"It's possible," he mumbled, hanging his head again. I nodded and sat in the chair that was placed in front of him. I slammed the folder down on the table before opening it up. I looked at him for a few solid seconds before I started reading. The more I read, the angrier I got. I finally had enough and snapped it shut. I looked up at him, my nose flared and I felt nothing for him other than pure hatred.

"So the first person to offer you drugs and the tiniest bit more money than I give you each and EVERY WEEK, you go running into their arms," I said, raising my voice at him, "I gave you a house, food, water, a BED TO SLEEP ON WHEN YOU HAD NOTHING and yet you still BETRAYED ME!" He went to say something but I quickly cut him off.

"No, I'm fucking talking and you are going to fucking listen to me! You ran into the arms of our rival family! Out of all the families you could have ran to, you ran to the Dubois'," I shouted, "you were one of my most trusted people! Out of the blue, you got disrespectful when you knew the consequences1"

"I'm sorry Luciano, I really am," he said, a single tear rolled down his face and yet I felt nothing for it.

"It's too late for your pathetic sorry's because they can't fix what you have done and they mean nothing," I said lowing my voice, "I hope you are damn happy with your choice,"

"Luciano, please!" He begged as he watched me pulled my gun out. I took my time making sure it was locked and loaded as he sat there pleading for his life. *Bang* His left foot started pouring out blood. His screams filled the room. *Bang* His right shoulder took the next. You would think that he would have a manly scream but he is screaming like a little school girl.

"Ciao," I said, pulling the trigger one last time. His head flew backwards and his screams stopped. I walked out of the room and told Alex to have the room cleaned. I sighed as I made my way to my car. I needed to go home for at least an hour and then I will deal with whatever else falls on my plate. At the red-light, my phone started to ring. Assuming that it was just one of the guys, I was quick to answer with an attitude.

"What?" I snapped.

"Hello?" The other person on the line said, it was in fact not one of the guys. However this person sounded familiar.

"Who is this?" I asked grains impatient, "I do not have time for pranks,"

"Umm...no this is Liliana, not a prank," she said, "is this a bad time to call?"

"No! I mean no, now is fine, what is going on?" I asked as I cringed at the choice of words I just used.

"Oh nothing too crazy...listen I got a new number and I saw that you had texted me this morning," she said, "I just figured I'd call or answer you back on my new phone," A new phone? What was wrong with the one she had?

"That's fine. I know that I said I would help you with looking for places because I'm sure you don't want to stay in that room forever but we are going to have to reschedule that. I'm going to be working awfully late tonight," I said, sighing and bringing a hand up to my forehead.

"Oh yeah, no that is perfectly fine," she said, "shit, Luca, I've gotta go," and with that she hung up. Confused, I pulled the phone away from me and carried on home.

I pulled into the driveway and took my time walking in. I knew it wouldn't be long before someone stopped me as I made my way into the house.

"Can you walk and talk?" I asked Dom once I noticed him walking my way.

"Of course," he said, "I looked into both Hugo and Liliana, can we talk in your office?" I nodded and we made our way up there. I opened the door and let him in first. I shut the door and locked it, ensuring that no one will just barge in.

"Okay, what do you know?" I asked, taking a seat.

"Well for starters, Liliana is here in Italy," he said.

"Yes, this I knew," I said, nodding and letting him carry on.

"So, she has pulled out of her money from her accounts like I mean all of them are drained. It was like she just tried to cover her tracks and left France. Now for Hugo, he is on his way to Italy," he said. Hugo? In Italy? For starters, over my dead body but secondly, he never comes to Italy. So what is going on? I sat there thinking about all the things that would involve him coming over here and nothing ended great. Deciding I can no longer trust Liliana to not be working with her father, I looked up at Dom and gave him the next move for now.

"I want you to monitor her every move along with her fathers," I said, "don't let them get too close with each other," and with that I dismissed him. I watched as he unlocked the door and walked away.

How could I have been so fucking stupid? I knew better than this and yet I had been blinded by her look and then her personality. It didn't matter whether or not her file said she knew nothing about her family. That could be a lie for all I know. I need whiskey. Yes, whiskey will calm me enough to think about this.

I was so fucking nice to her and this? This is how she repays me? I don't fucking think so.
