DEEP IN THE MAN CAVE || Henry Danger

𝘋𝘦𝘤𝘦𝘮𝘣𝘦𝘳 15𝘵𝘩, 2014

IT'S MORNING, and my friends & I are going to school. Henry & I are walking in- we saw each other in the parking lot, and we see Jasper.

He's wearing a black shirt with different colored pixels on it. I don't know why he would wake up, look at the shirt, and think  'wow, that's a great shirt', but Jasper's is the kind of guy to wear that.

"Hey, man!" Henry greets.

"Uh, why would you wear that in public?" I ask.

"It's my glow in the dark bowling outfit for tonight," Jasper explains.

"Oh...okay!" Henry nods.

"Oh, you guys are going bowling?" I ask.

"Yeah, you wanna come?" Jasper invites.

"Thanks for the offer, but no thanks," I smile. It seems fun, but I'd rather just chill at my house tonight.

"And, I got us glow in the dark balls too!" Jasper exclaims.

"It's gonna be a crazy night," Henry grins.

Jasper walks off, and Henry & I walk to our lockers, because they're right next to each other.

Sidney walks up to him. "Hey, Henry."

"Oh, hey," he greets casually. I notice Oliver is shooting video on his phone. "What's up?" Henry asks.

"Can I ask Chloe out on a date?" Sidney questions.

Henry gives him a weird look, and so do I. I have no idea why Sidney would be asking for approval to do a simple thing like that.

"Ooh, here we go!" Oliver exclaims.

"You wanna ask out Chloe?" Henry asks.

"Well, yeah. I mean, come on, you haven't hung out with her in months," Sidney protests.

"She's not your property," Oliver adds.

"Did I say Chloe was my property?" Henry questions.

"You say it with your eyes," Oliver mentions.

"Whatever," Henry says. I can tell he's a little weirded out- of course he is, it's Sidney and Oliver. "Yeah, sure. Go ahead, ask her out. I don't care."

"Awesome!" Sidney says, and he runs off.

Oliver, for some reason, is still recording.

"Why are you shooting video?" I question him.

"I thought Henry and Sidney were gonna fight," Oliver replies with a shrug.

"Maybe.. maybe you and me are gonna fight," Henry threatens.

Oliver whimpers, and sprints off.

"Wow. You're intimidating, Henry," I joke.

"I'm gonna go ask out Chloe!" He informs me.

"But you told Sidney--"

He cuts me off. "I know what I said. But he reminded me that I can indeed do that."

"Alright..?"

"See ya in class."

Once Henry shuts his locker and walks away, my face falls, and I manage to ignore the hot tears forming at the back of my eyes. I know he's going to like other girls, and I know it hasn't even been a full month since I realized that I like him.

I blink really quickly, and shut my locker. It's just not fair.

After school, Charlotte, Henry & I are at work in the Man Cave. Ray's making us organize his stuff.
