DEEP IN THE MAN CAVE || Henry Danger

6:45 𝘗𝘔, 𝘖𝘤𝘵𝘰𝘣𝘦𝘳 27𝘵𝘩, 2015

KID DANGER & I  living this day for the third time, finally did things right, so we're observing the cops, and they're arresting the Time Jerker, and we're being interviewed. We actually went to the Chinese restaurant to get the food that Ray wanted, and we went back to the clock tower so that we could get talked to. We haven't had a chance to eat the food yet, but I'm sure the people watching us on the news can see the boxes on the platform behind us.

"Captain Man, Kid Danger, and Danger Girl, can you tell us what happened here?" Evelyn Hall, the reporter, asks.

"Well, we found out that the Time Jerker-" Kid Danger begins, but Captain Man walks into the mic. 

"So, about an hour ago, I swung in here, crashed through that glass, and captured that Time Jerker you see right there."

Henry & I push past. "We also participated."

"Well, Captain Man, once again, the city of Swellview owes you a big fat thank you," Evelyn says.

"We also participated!" We repeat.

"Ah, I don't fight crime for thank yous. But there is something I want," Captain Man begins.

"Sure," Evelyn replies, her face mesmerized. "Anything. Uh, I mean, what?"

She says it romantically, so I think she likes him. I make a sour face, and I look at Ray.

Obviously, people are going to flirt with Captain Man- he's Captain Man, but that doesn't mean it doesn't piss me off.

I think it makes Ray mad too, because most people don't know that Captain Man has a girlfriend. And that girlfriend of his is my mother.

Ray rolls his eyes, and looks at her sternly. I can tell he doesn't want to be here anymore, but he needs to use the microphone Evelyn is holding.

Ray clears his throat, and continues. He looks at the camera, because we're on the news right now. "As I'm sure you already know, there's a very special steak house here in Swellview called Montego's."

"Right, I've heard of Montego's," Evelyn mentions.

"Yeah, well, did you know you can't get a reservation to Montego's? You have to be invited by the owner?" Ray questions.

Henry & I, sick of being ignored, push our way into the microphone again.

"Anyways, we're really glad that we were able to capture the Time Jerker because-"

Ray pushes us away again. "So, to the owner of Montego's restaurant, hey, it's me, Captain Man, the guy who keeps the whole city safe! I like steak. I like it a lot. So, feel free to invite me to your restauraunt, Montego's."

I give Henry a knowing look, and we jump into the mic. "We also like steak!"

Evelyn looks at the camera. "I'm Evelyn Hall. Single and ready."

Ray snatches her mic. "Just stop it, Evelyn Hall. I'm not single. I have a girlfriend. So you don't have a chance."

I smirk, and Ray looks mad. He drops the microphone, and he gestures for us to leave the Swellview clock tower.

I give Ray a knowing look, and I know that if my mom knew that Captain Man was talking about HER, she would go insane.

But she doesn't know, not yet.

Ray said he wasn't gonna reveal that he was in a relationship to the public, but that was clearly his last straw.
