IN THE MAN CAVE, Charlotte is taking all of our fan mail out of its boxes. Since we're superheroes, we get sent fan mail all the time from Swellviewans obsessed with us—not complaining, though. I've been reading some of them, but not all of them. I would love to skim over them all, but there's just too many of them. It feels really good to know that so many people in this town are proud of me and they love and support my work.
It's almost been a year since I got this job, and I go crazy every time I even think about it. How has it possibly been that long? I love everyone I work with so much, and when I got the Danger Girl position, my life really changed for the better.

School has started back up already—I'm not happy about it, but it needed to happen, and I don't have a choice in it at all, of course. We've started ninth grade, and I'm in high school now, which is crazy to think about, but I'm there.

Henry & I walk back into the main room from the secret door. We were in the weapons room, and we were looking for a couple of things because Schwoz directed us to.

"Hey guys, someone left this can of whipped cream in the weapons room," I mention, and I gesture to Henry holding it.

Schwoz yanks it from Henry's hand. "Be careful with this!"

"Why?" I inquire.

"I'll show you. Hey, Ray," Schwoz begins.

"Yeah, what's up?" Ray asks. He seems to be in a good mood.

The 'whipped cream' seems to be a laser of some sort, and he zaps Ray with it in the chest. It looks pretty painful. His shirt is all torn—it's totally ruined. We all can't hold in our giggles.

"Ding dang it, Schwoz!" Ray exclaims.

"Relax, you're indestructible," Charlotte reminds.

"Yeah, well my shirt wasn't." Ray sighs.

Henry's phone dings, and he checks his texts. "Oh man, I'm late for dinner. I gotta get home."

"Wait, Henry, do me a favor." Schwoz stops him, and he runs over. "Take this egg to your house." I hear the egg making weird noises, and that makes me feel a little bit uneasy, but Charlotte, Ray & I continue to look over our fan mail.

"This egg makes me nervous," Henry admits.

"Just take it in your backyard and lay it in a bush," Schwoz orders.

"Alright, I'll put it in a bush," Henry says, mocking Schwoz's accent.

"Hey, guys, look!" Charlotte smiles. "One of your fans sent you guys a birthday cake." I look down at the cake, and it's a pretty generous act, but I'm confused on why a person would send that to us. Even if they are our fans, it's a birthday cake. My birthday is in three weeks, and Henry's was almost two weeks ago, but the fans have no idea when our birthdays are. If we were to reveal them publicly, even without the years, it would still be risking our secret identities.

"But...it's not our birthdays." Ray cocks an eyebrow.

I notice something on the birthday cake—it looks like a camera of some sort, and it doesn't take me long to realize that it's probably recording us and spying on us! My pulse jumps, and I grab the 'whipped cream can' from Henry. I run over to the cake, and Schwoz is in my way, so I punch him. I don't mean to, it all just kinda happened. "Charlotte, move!" I shoot the camera with the laser, and it explodes.

"Ow!" Schwoz groans in pain.

"Hey. That cake was for all three of us!" Ray complains. "You had no right!"
