We stood there, watching as Boemsoek's taxi disappeared down the street, both of us equally confused.
Probably best not to dig too deep into this.
Still, the whole situation had me annoyed. And Sooho running off like that? That didn't help. Ugh, everything about today was irritating for reasons I couldn't even pinpoint.
"Shall we head home?" Sieun asked, his voice calm.
I let out a hum of agreement and started walking, not even looking back.
We walked side by side, a small gap between us, but I could feel his presence more than ever. When we reached my house, I was about to say goodnight and head inside when Sieun suddenly grabbed my wrist, stopping me.
"Are you mad at me?" he asked, his voice softer than usual.
I turned to look at him, startled. His hand lingered on my wrist, his thumb brushing against my skin. "Why would I be mad at you?" I asked, genuinely confused.
"You've been quiet," he said, his grip loosening but not letting go. "I thought maybe... what happened earlier upset you."
I sighed, shaking my head. "No, Sieun, I'm not mad at you. It's just been... a long day, that's all."
He stepped closer, closing the gap between us. "Still, I don't like seeing you like this." His hand slid down to entwine with mine, holding it gently.
I looked at our hands, then back at him. "I'll be fine. I just need some rest."
He hesitated for a moment before blurting out, "Then let me stay."
I blinked, caught off guard. "What?"
"I don't want to leave you like this," he said, his gaze unwavering. "Just for tonight. I'll sleep on the couch or whatever."
Once inside, Sieun leaned against the counter as I grabbed some snacks from the fridge.
"Why are you really staying?" I asked, avoiding his gaze.
"I don't want to leave you alone when you're like this," he replied, his tone soft but firm.
"I told you, I'm fine."
He stepped closer, brushing a strand of hair behind my ear. "You're terrible at lying, Jia."
His sudden proximity made my breath hitch, but I didn't pull away. "I just... today was a mess," I admitted quietly.
"Then let me stay," he said, his voice low. "At least for tonight."
I raised an eyebrow, crossing my arms. "You're being dramatic. I'm fine."
"Maybe I'm being dramatic, but I'm not leaving until I know you're okay," he said stubbornly, his grip on my hand tightening slightly.
I couldn't help the small smile that tugged at my lips. "You're impossible, you know that?"
"And yet, you're letting me stay," he teased, his lips curling into a smirk.
I tried to pull back, but his hand caught my wrist gently. "And you're terrible at minding your business," I said, still trying to act tough, though my heart was racing.
He gave a small, knowing smile. "So, can I stay? Just for tonight?"
I hesitated for a moment, then sighed, giving in. "Fine, but only tonight."
He grinned, his hand now resting on my waist. "Thanks."
I was busy washing dishes and tidying up the kitchen when Sieun practically attached himself to me like a lost puppy. He stood behind me, his arms wrapped around my waist, his chin resting gently on my shoulder as I swayed some vegetables in the pan. I couldn't help but smile at how cute and clingy he was.
As I continued to move around the kitchen, Sieun stayed close, occasionally pressing soft kisses against my shoulder or cheek whenever I paused. His hands would linger on my waist, pulling me closer whenever I tried to move away, as if he didn't want to let go for a second. I chuckled, unable to hide the warmth spreading through me.
"You're not gonna let me work in peace are you?" I teased, glancing at him.
He grinned, his eyes twinkling mischievously. "Maybe or maybe not," he replied, tightening his hold on me.
"You know, you could help," I teased, trying to focus on the food.
He hummed playfully, not letting go. "I'm helping by keeping you company," he said with a grin, pressing a gentle kiss to my neck.
I couldn't help but smile, the warmth of his closeness making everything feel a little lighter.
We both mindlessly started into the pictured screen none of us actually carrying about what was playing. Cuddled in his arms with my head in his chest I couldn't think of anything right now.
I could feel his face gaze from the tv to me. I looked up and stared at his face.
Ohh jeez good cheeks look adorable.'Your cute' I say smiling at him.
'Shutup' he stated making me giggle.
'No actually your really cute your chubby cheeks and that look in your eye your whole dea-' he cut me off with a kiss. Not holding out back any more I kissed him. His hands wrapped around my waist while the other held the back of my head to keep me in place.
Have I toned or loses before this? No. But this was the longest we kissed.
Even breaking the kids for oxygen didn't seem right.I broke the kiss.
Two things were heated my heart beating out of my chest and our shaky breathe.
Sieun looked at me before leaning sleeve to kiss me again. Pushing me slowly to the couch.
With my back shading the soft cushion and his soft lips in mine made me feel like I was on cloud9.
Right now was perfect just where it had to be.
