The Two of Us // Yuno x Reader

(Y/N's POV)

I don't know what came over me to accept helping Sister Lily with all the chores of the day but here I am. Okay, now that the plants are watered, time to do the laundry. Once I am done with this, time to nap. Oh I can't wait to sle-

"Y/N!!!!"

Oh no. I swear if-

"Y/N, I'll become the wizard king and make you happy one day!!! So please MARRY ME!!" Asta shouted behind me.

"ah...Asta, no I will not marry you, we are only 15 and I don't have feelings for you like that." I responded with a sigh.

"AHHH Not Yet!" Asta replied.

"Asta, I've told you this before again and again, we are too young to think about that, we should just focus on our goals right now, i'm sorry." I don't know how many times I have to tell him this to make him understand.

"AHH I'M NOT GIVING UP"

"Did you hear what I just said?" I deadpanned.

"NOT YET! NOT YET!"

"Stop Pestering Y/N!" a voice behind us yelled. "Water Creation Magic: Holy Fist of Love!" The next you know, Asta is being pummeled by a fist of water and is now lying flat on the solid ground.

"I-I'm so sorry Asta! I used my grimoire without thinking...!" Sister Lilly said quickly checking on him.

"How many rejections from Y/N will it take for you to get it Asta?" Nash said and he walked towards the commotion giving Asta an annoyed expression. Behind him were Yuno and the rest of the children.

"NEVER! AS ONCE I AM THE WIZARD KING SHE WILL BE MY WIFE!"

"Now, Now Asta that will be impossible as no one would want to marry a short, noisy, restless, immature, basically no qualities that appeals to women, and since I will become the Wizard King and marry her." Yuno states as he walks up to the girl.

"YUNOOOOO IS THAT WHAT YOU SAY TO SOMEONE YOU HAVE GROWN UP WITH FOR 15 YEARS YOU HANDSOME JERK!?!"

"Let me give you a hand Y/N" Yuno smiles.

"Thank you Yuno, but you know I can do it myself." I responded. He does this every time, and I tell him the same thing. 

"Of course I know that, but if I can help you, I always will." Yuno says turning towards me, "I'll always be here to help you Y/N".

"SO WILL I Y/N, LET ME HELP TOO!"

These two boys will be the death of me I swear.

"YUNOOO I CHALLENGE YOU TO A FIGHT!" Asta yells pointing at Yuno.

"No."

"AND WHY NOT"

"Because it's a waste of time"

"TAKE THIS!"Asta shouts as he punches the air with full force hoping something happens.

"There's no way you can win against Yuno, Asta, give it a rest.I mean you can't use magic." Nash says as he lights fire to the furnace next to him.

"NOTHING CAME OUT" Asta yells, dropping to his knees. "NOT YET!!"

"It's hard to believe someone your age can't use magic yet." Nash states as he gets up, dusting off his pants.

"HOW DARE YOU SPEAK TO YOUR ELDERS THIS WAY NASH!"

"Whatever, Magic is everything in this world, it's only natural to be able to use it. You are the only person I've ever seen who can't use it Asta." Nash states.

"Guess I have no choice, I'll have to show you what i'm really made of." Asta sighs before quickly getting on the floor and doing sit ups at an alarming rate of speed.

"You see me??" I know you can't do sit ups this fast!!!" He says with determination in his eyes.

"Asta you're so funny!" Arlu says laughing.

"Here you go Yuno this is the last one" I said as I gave him the last stack of folded clothing.

Finally we're done with the laundry. Thankfully Yuno was here to help me get it done faster.

"Thank you so much you two!" Sister Lily states joy filling up her eyes.

"It was no big deal Sister Lily, I'm glad that we could help!" I responded.

"THEN LEAVE THE WOOD CHOPPING TO ME!" Asta shouts hurriedly running towards the unchopped wood when a gust of wind came through and perfectly chopped the wood into four pieces.

"Sorry Asta, but I didn't want to wait longer to take my nap, forgive me will you?" I stated leaning against the church wall crossing my arms. 

"I still can't believe that you three are the same age." Nash sighs looking at the three of us.

"Yuno and Y/N are the only hope we have for this church!" Father cries bursting through the main doors knocking over Asta in the process.

"I wouldn't be surprised to see you both joining the Magic Knights who serve the Wizard King, Yuno, Y/N!" Nash states.

I look behind me to see Asta on the floor with his knees up to his chest. I walked up to him and put a hand on his shoulder.

"The award ceremony is coming up Asta, I am sure once you get your grimoire you will be able to use your magic in no time!" I said, making him turn around and smile.

"You're right Y/N, once I get my grimoire, I'll even get a grimoire that's better than everyone else's, well except for you of course." He says, determination pouring out of his eyes. "Then, I'll join the magic knights, and follow in the Wizard King's footsteps and become the Wizard King too!" He states.

"I know you will Asta, I believe in you." I smiled at him.

I believe in all of us and we all will become Magic Knights that will protect everyone here at the Village, and I will do everything in my power to make that come true. Becoming the Wizard King/Queen, well, we can leave that up to fate.
