Chapter 4: Magic Knight's Exam Pt.2

"You'll be battling!" Another Captain, Fuegoleon Vermillion, begins, " You will pair off and fight with your partner. You may use your grimoires to attack."

Have I even taken my grimoire out yet? I think to myself, I haven't had a reason too, everything so far didn't need me to so I need to show these captains in this battle.

"Show us your true abilities!" he finishes.

I look around to see Asta paired off and I definitely will not be fighting Yuno, as I think about who to choose, a girl comes up to me.

"YOU! I choose you to be my partner, and you can't say no as I am the well known-noble, Murkel Tinks!"

This girl did not just say that.

I look at Yuno, he gives me a not my problem face and I realize that I do have to fight this girl.

"And when I win, your friend over there has to come with me!"

Oh hell no she did not. She keeps on annoying me to the max, with her voice, face, and now trying to take Yuno from me. I am actually going to throw up from the audacity of this girl.

I smile at her, "Of course we can pair up, but don't go crying to your stuck-up daddy and mommy when you lose, got it? They can't buy you into the Magic Knights." I responded.

"WHY YOU-" She starts but is soon stopped by Asta and his partner beginning their battle.

"Let's do this Asta! Bronze Creation Magic: Sekke Magnum Cannon-Ball!" Asta's opponent says smirking at Asta.

"There's no need to hold back, come at me Asta!" He says laughing, oh you have no idea what's coming.

Asta's quick to attack, instantly launching himself towards the cocky man and cutting through his opponents magic, knocking out the man in the process. Ahhh anti-magic, I love it so much! I am so glad Asta let me train with him.

"I'm not joining the Magic Knights so I can have a fun time and to avoid working hard. I'm here to work my butt off to become the Wizard King." He states, swinging his sword to be on his shoulders.

My turn Asta.

"Come on peasant it's our turn, time to show you how strong I am!" she says pointing at me.

I laugh, "Have you even seen my grimoire yet?" I ask her.

She pauses, "well-uh no, but you're a peasant so it doesn't even matter." she says, crossing her arms.

Your in for a treat all right

"Well then let me show you- in fact let me show everyone." I say as I summon my grimoire out. Soon gasps can be heard from everyone in the stadium, including the Captains.

"I-is that a six-leaf grimoire?!?"

"How is that even possible?"

"Look, it has a clover, diamond, heart, and spade!"

"Is she really a peasant?"

I look towards the captains and all of them are at the edge of their seats, curiosity clouding their eyes. I look back at my opponent to see her jaw dropped and fear swirling in her eyes.

I smirk, "Are you ready now?" I ask.

She doesn't respond and then, "Tinker Creation Magic: Nail Horde!" she quickly says, aiming it at me.

"Water Creation Magic: Tidal Armor!" "Earth Creation Magic: Mud Barrage!" I quickly casted a defense and offense spell, protecting myself with a little bit of flair and attacking her with a different ability. I need to show these captains my potential.
