powerless || Loki x Reader

"Really?" I ask as I get pricked by another safety pin. "That's the third time in the last hour," I say annoyed.

"You're fine," Maria says to me. I roll my eyes and watch as she adds the finishing touches to my suit. "Fit your standards?" She asks me as she takes a step back.

I look at myself in the mirror and my jaw drops. "Oh my God! Yes!" I say covering my mouth.

"Issue." Nick Fury comes walking into the room annoyed and mad.

"What is it?" I ask as Maria and I fall into step with him. He doesn't answer and continues to walk. 

"Where's agent Barton?" He asks a guy working at a podium looking device. The guy's points upward and a man jumps down from the balcony he was in. Maria and I stay back as they talk.

"Uh.. Fury?" I ask.

"Yes?"

"Should your weird Lego be glowing like that?" I point to the glowing block and Fury shakes his head.

"No, me and the doctor were just talking about that. It's an energy source, it has a mind of its own." Fury explains.

"She has an attitude," the old guy says watching it with a hand on his chin.

"A what?" I ask, incredibly confused.

"Nothing," Nick says rolling his eyes. "It's out of control and we do not know how to stop it. It is emitting a lot of gamma radiation and if it explodes we could all die."

"Fun?" I say visibly confused.  Fury rolls his eyes and looks at the cube. As he's staring at it a portal opens and a disheveled man walks out of it. "Damn."

"What?" Maria and Nick ask in unison.

"Nothing," I say while watching him walk towards the glowing cube.

"Y/n, run." Fury says to me in a low voice. "Find Natasha and get out of here."

"Nat's here?"

"Go." He says fed up with me.

I tap into the mic and call for Nat. As I'm running the guy uses his scepter to posses Clint and a few other people. She meets me at the exit. Just in time too, as an explosion knocks me over and hit her bike.

"Ow." I say as I climb on the bike. I close my eyes as we ride. I've never been fond of motorcycles. This is my first time on one though, so that may be why.

She takes us to a little apartment that she stays in to be undercover. She unlocks the door and and I take in the surroundings. I have been here many times, but it also changes every time too. I slightly nod after  I take in what has changed.

Natasha and I take about who came through the portal and what it could mean. When nothing comes to mind, she and I just sit on the couch and watch a movie. We put on Star Wars, because intergalactic warfare seems very fitting for our current situation.

"Imagine being able to live in that universe," I say while looking at Nat, "Anakin is so attractive," I add as Nat rolls her eyes.

"Nick said you might have a crush on Earth's newest threat." She says pointedly.

"I like unexpected people, so what? Sue me," I respond.

"I can't. You're broke," Nat says holding back a smile.

My mouth drops as I stare at her. "Okay Nat, that was very uncalled for, but I'm now over it. So, what are we going to do?" She looks at me confused. "About the guy that came in through the portal?"

"Oh, yeah, Nick will handle it." I mouth okay and watch the movie with the amazingly handsome man. Natasha's watch beeps and I look at her.

"Who is it?" I ask her.
