It's been a little while since the fight of Thor and Loki. My ankle is better and I come down the stairs feeling groggy. Everyone else is down stairs, Steve is on the couch reading and Tony is trying to annoy him. Natasha and Thor are watching TV and Bruce is fixing his phone. Loki is sitting also reading, his book just so happens to be the one I keep telling him not to read.
I go and pour myself a cup of coffee. I hold the mug smiling slightly at the warmth it lets off on my hands.
"Look who's finally awake," Steve says mocking me. I roll my eyes at him as I take a sip of my coffee. Loki watches my every movement. He and I haven't spoke as much as we did since I poked a little fun at him.
"We have a mission," Tony says to us and I groan. I look at him waiting for an elaboration. "Some guy broke into a museum and stole a very dangerous weapon, like Reindeer Games over here." He nods his head at Loki.
"I'll go get ready," I say as I go up the stairs. I come back down shortly after ready for the mission. Everyone nods at me and gets into the jet.
"So, we'll go there and I'll take a team and search in the inside. The rest will be outside," Steve says laying out the plan. We get out of the jet. Steve and Natasha go into the museum, Tony is flying around it. Bruce stays in the ship, while Thor and I stand watch outside.
"If you get hurt again, Tony might kick you off the team," Thor says teasing me.
"Dude, he likes me than you," I say laughing at his reaction. I speak into my earpiece when I'm done laughing. "Bruce, you got anything from your research?" I ask.
"No," he begins. "This guy is a nobody."
"Real kind Bruce," I say laughing. I hear a scoff from Bruce and yelling from Steve. "What?" I ask.
"He's coming outside," Steve says.
I look behind me, and there the guy is. I look at him running towards me before I simply punch him, which knocks him out.
"That was easy," I say.
"Too easy," Tony scoffs as he watches the whole thing. I nod in agreement, my gut telling me that something seems off with how easy it was.
I ignore it and get handcuffs, take the weapon and escort the guy to the police car.
"Sometimes easy is good, Iron Man," I say teasing Tony by calling him by his super hero name. He scoffs at me and nods.
When we get back to the tower the rest of the day is pretty tamed. I put on pajama shorts and an oversized long sleeve shirt, not wanting to do anything for the rest of the day.
"You look comfy," Bruce says as he sits next to me. I slightly glare at him enjoying my alone time.
"I am," I state, rather blunt. I look at the hallway, and Loki is walking to the room. I wave to him, but he ignores me.
"Trouble is paradise?" Bruce questions.
"What paradise?" I ask. Not quite sure I'm so grouchy, but Loki seems to be enjoying it. He's sitting opposite from me with a smirk plastered on his face. I roll my eyes at him as I turn my attention to the TV.
More people trickle into the room as I stay in my place on the couch. If I vacate the seat it will be stolen.
We eat dinner, and it goes very smoothly. No one is yelling or fighting, which is a very nice change to the usual dinners we have.
Though, the nice atmosphere is disrupted when Tony brings out Monopoly. Groans fill the room as I clap.
"I've never lost a game of Monopoly in my life!" I say.
