I've been out of the hospital for a few days now. I still have the bandage in my torso and multiple injuries, but the concussion is gone and I feel much better. The lethargy hasn't been much of an issue lately. I've been able to stay awake for more than one hour at a time.

Still unable to help out with any missions but being able to move is nice. Even if it is on crutches, due to the broken ankle.

I'm sitting on the couch with my leg propped up on the coffee table when the alarm goes off. I go to stand up, but a shooting pain makes me fall. I feel two arms wrap around me before I hit the ground.

I look up to see Loki holding me. He she's back down on the couch and clears his throat.

"Watch him." Tony says his back turned to us.

"Okay," I say folding my arms over my stomach. I play with the hem of my cropped red shirt. Bruce said that it would be smart for me to wear clothes that aren't fitted and can let the cuts air out. So I'm in a crop top and grey shorts.

Tony leaves the room when Loki speaks. "On baby sitting duty?" He asks me and I roll my eyes.

"Apparently." Loki watches me intently as I adjust myself to be more comfortable. "Does your jaw hurt?" I ask him.

"Huh?"

"It's always clenched," I say.

"I'm always mad," he replies.

"Are you mad now?"

"No."

"Well.." I say. Loki scoffs before clenching his jaw more, then relaxing it. His shoulder relax with it and the calm demeanor goes all throughout his figure.

I watch him intently. Not realizing how good could look in lounge wear. He's in a grey hoodie and black sweatpants. Still looking rather handsome.

"Penny for your thoughts," he says watching me.

"Why do you not talk to anyone else here?" I ask him.

"None of them like me," he says.

"What makes you think I like you?" I ask.

"I don't know, but you shouldn't." He answers.

"I know," I answer truthfully. "You know I was awake when you tried to shoot me." His eyes drop to the floor.

"I wasn't trying to kill you," he says.

"I know." I pause. "What was that? What stopped it?"

"The same thing that made you not die when you got thrown out of that building," he simply says. "Can you try to control it?" He asks me.

"I don't even know what it is," I say to him playfully rolling my eyes. He shrugs his shoulders.

Loki and I talk for a while, and sometime in between that and me asking for a banana he sat on the couch next to me. Only one cushion separating us this time. I make a joke and Loki laughs.

"Oh my, God!" I say.

"What?"

"You laughed!"

"So?"

"Loki," he looks down and smile at the use of his name, "during the time I have known you, I have never seen you laugh." I think for a moment, "Or smile."

"I haven't had a reason to during my time here," he says truthfully. He looks up and our gazes meet.

"My foot hurts," I say abruptly as a shooting pain slices through me making me wince.
