Aryan's house, once quiet and hollow in recent years, was now alive—pulsating with laughter, chatter, and the kind of warmth only a family reunited could bring. It wasn't just a house anymore; it was a home, brimming with love.

Aryan and Avni sat side by side, watching their grown children banter like the mischievous kids they once were, their teasing and challenges echoing through the grand dining hall.

The table was a testament to abundance—vegetarian curries, succulent roasted meats, golden fries, fragrant rice, chilled juices, and snacks piled high. It was the kind of feast that left hearts full before the stomach.

"Wah! I feel like I've stumbled into a royal feast!" Vikram exclaims, his eyes sparkling with delight.

"Not quite a palace," Avni smiled, "but I promise the taste will rival one."

"Aunty, you made all of this?" Kairav's shock was genuine.

"Every dish," Avni replied, her confusion giving way to pride.

Amulya's voice cuts through, filled with pride. "You're shocked? My mom's a superhero, no cape needed. And definitely a gifted cook!"

"A doctor and a master chef?" Abhimanyu asks, his disbelief apparent. "How do you even find the time?"

"Cooking wasn't always a passion," Avni began, her voice softening with nostalgia. "It started as a hobby. During my medical school days, the huge syllabus, the sleepless nights—it was suffocating. I needed an escape. Cooking became that outlet. At first, it was just about feeding myself, experimenting with flavors, but over time..." she glanced at Aryan and Amulya, her voice dropping, "it became about feeding us. About creating something that made them smile, no matter how bad my day had been."

She glances at Aryan, her lips curving into a wistful smile. "And he is my ever-patient taste tester from Day 1 to today and forever."

Smiles rippled through the room.

"Wait, you two knew each other in medical school?" Adithya leaned forward, surprised.

"They've known each other since Aunty was nineteen," Aarohi interjected, a sly grin on her face. "And trust me, their love story? It's straight out of a novel."

"Love story?" Kairav and Abhimanyu exchanged intrigued glances.

Aryan's expression shifted, a proud smirk curling his lips. He adjusted in his chair, his voice deepening. "It all began during senior-junior interactions. I was her senior by three years, and she..." his gaze flicked to Avni, "was unlike anyone I'd ever met. Bold, stubborn, impossibly brilliant. She fell for me first, of course. And then I fell hard."
