"Okay, let's go, brother!" she finally said, her voice light, and she fell into step beside him. As they reached the riverside, they noticed a group of people nearby. A wickedly playful thought flashed between them, and they exchanged a knowing look, both eager for some mischief.
With a quick splash, they drenched the unsuspecting strangers, and chaos ensued as the group began chasing them. The siblings ran, laughter echoing through the air, and they sprinted so far that the world around them seemed to fade away.
Eventually, they stopped, breathless, by a quiet spot, still laughing, their spirits light. But just as the laughter seemed to settle, Subhadra, with her usual playful nature, pushed Krishna into the waterfall, soaking him through. Without missing a beat, Krishna pulled her in after him, and soon both were drenched, their laughter mingling with the sound of the falling water.
After a time, the two decided they had better return home, realizing they hadn't told anyone where they had gone. As they made their way back, Subhadra's mischievous spirit never waned, and Krishna, unable to resist, chased after her. Their bond—filled with joy, freedom, and love—was unspoken but clear. It was the simple, pure moments like these that made their journey!
Subhadra ran through the forest, her feet quickly moving along the rough path. The sun was setting, casting a golden light over the trees, and the shadows were growing longer. Though she wasn't lost, she wasn't sure where she was going either. She felt a bit uncertain but didn't want to stop. She had been searching for Krishna, but now, she wasn't sure which way to go.
Just as Subhadra was about to turn back and look for Krishna, she suddenly heard something strange. It was a wail—like someone crying or calling for help. The sound echoed through the trees, and Subhadra's heart skipped a beat. She decided to find out what it was.
Taking a deep breath and pushing aside any fear, Subhadra followed the sound. She moved quickly through the bushes and trees until she came upon something shocking. There was a sage, caught in a huge bear trap, unable to move. Subhadra gasped. She didn't know what to do—she had never faced a situation like this before.
But then, her determination took over. She rushed forward and, using all her strength, she tried to open the bear trap. It took all her effort, but finally, she managed to release the trap. She knelt beside the sage, worried, and saw that he was injured. Blood was oozing from his wounds.
Without thinking, Subhadra reached out and touched his injuries. Her hands gently rested on the wounds, and as soon as she did, something amazing happened. The wounds began to heal right before her eyes. The bleeding stopped, and the injury completely disappeared. Subhadra pulled her hands away, stunned. She had no idea how she had healed the sage, but the truth was clear—she had used her divine power, her Maya, without even realizing it.
The sage, still lying on the ground, looked up at her in awe. He seemed both surprised and deeply respectful. As he gazed at her, he didn't just see a woman in front of him. He saw the presence of Devi Adishakti, the great and eternal goddess, shining through her.
Overcome by this realization, the sage immediately folded his hands in reverence. Subhadra, unsure of what was happening, asked him gently, "Are you alright?"
The sage, his voice filled with deep devotion, replied, "How could I not be alright, when the supreme goddess herself has treated me with such care?"
Subhadra smiled softly, not fully understanding that the sage was talking about her. She thought he was referring to the goddess Adishakti, not realizing that the divine power he spoke of was within her. Still, she felt honored by his words.
She spoke humbly, "I must go now, Maharishi. My brother is waiting for me outside. If you would like, you can come with me. We can offer you food and rest at our home."
