Subhadra was seated with the Pandavas, engaging in a lively conversation with them.
"I've heard so much about all of you!" Subhadra remarked with a bright smile. "We've heard plenty about you too! The bards sing your praises far and wide!" Nakul replied with a grin.
"Come, let's go! The haldi ceremony is about to begin," Subhadra announced, and with that, everyone made their way toward the hall.
Everyone was ready for the haldi ceremony, except for one person — Subhadra. She had been so absorbed in overseeing the preparations that she had forgotten to get ready. Realizing this, she quickly excused herself to change, while the others gathered in the hall, waiting for her arrival.
Arjun's POV
Subhadra!
She captivated me even more with every moment that passed. There was something about her — not just her beauty, which was beyond words, but the warmth of her spirit. She had effortlessly woven herself into the fabric of my brothers' lives. Yet, I remained distant. Today, I was determined to change that.
I watched as she entered the hall, flanked by her maids. She looked absolutely radiant. I couldn't tear my eyes away from her. She wore a simple yet stunning yellow lehenga, adorned only with delicate flower ornaments. It was understated, yet she wore it with a grace that made her shine like no one else in the room. But as I looked closer, I noticed something was off — her expression seemed troubled, a slight frown creasing her otherwise perfect face.

We all approached her, eager to learn what troubled her.
"What's wrong, Bhadrey? You seem upset," Bhrata Yudhishthir asked gently, his voice filled with concern. Subhadra let out a sigh before responding, "Bhrata, my Rukmini Jiji isn't here; she will only arrive for the wedding."
"It's okay, Munchkin. She must have her reasons. I'm sure she will be here soon enough," Bhrata Bheem said, trying to comfort her with a warm smile. Subhadra nodded slowly, her lips curling into a faint smile before she turned to Dau, who had just entered the hall.
The ceremony began, and one by one, everyone took their turn in applying haldi to the groom. Only Krishna and Subhadra were left. Their eyes met, an unspoken understanding passing between them.
"Something's not right," Nakul whispered in my ear. Being the mischievous one, Nakul immediately sensed that something was going on between Subhadra and Krishna, but we all remained quiet, watching the scene unfold.
POV ends
"Dau loves me the most, so I should apply the haldi first!" Subhadra declared confidently, her voice filled with playful mischief. Krishna, pretending to be serious, responded with a faux frown, "I'm the elder, and he loves me more, so I should go first!"
