"What are you doing?"

"Being the bait."

"You know how to ride a horse?"

"Not really..."

"You should know what happens to a lone wolf-"

"He's not alone!" His voice loud and clear, a smirk on his face. "He's got a pack..."

That was the beginning, he knew something was wrong. He wasn't like this, he wouldn't usually choose to help, he wouldn't choose to put someone else's safety above his own.

"Theo?" He was thrown out of his thoughts by Scott's voice. "Are you okay?"

"Yeah, I think I should get going-"

"Liam is asking for you," Scott cut him off right away, knowing damn well that the chimera was moments away from running for the hills. "He's asking for your help at the school... Something about Corey?" Scott's expression always gave him away, and right then and there everyone could see that he was indeed concerned about Corey and most importantly why Liam had asked for Theo and not everyone else.

"I- yeah, okay I'll go see how I can help..." Theo couldn't help but frown, Liam was asking for him? Why him? He had an entire pack that would drop everything for him and yet, Liam was choosing him...

"We should go too Scott," Malia's statement was just another way to show her distrust for Theo. Her eyes never left his, following him like a fly.

Theo nodded, "We can all go together, but I'm driving," he said much to Malia's displeasure, she growled at him but didn't say anything else. Aside from the continued death glares the whole time, she remained silent.

Meanwhile, Scott just looked at them exasperated. Their little carpool experience to the school was no different. Theo swore to himself to never go through this again, emphasis on "never".

When they arrived, the school was almost deserted, all the people in the library were gone except the pack members. The sheriff and Deputy Parrish, all of them looking at someone. When they reached the group they noticed the others shocked faces.

They were looking at Corey who was sitting on a table with a frown and a pained expression, but that wasn't the shocking part. The shocking part was that Corey was glitching, literally glitching before their eyes. He was there for a couple of seconds and then he wasn't. He kept disappearing, as if he wasn't able to control his abilities.

"Oh my god, Theo!" Liam was the first to notice Theo's presence, alerting everyone else too. The distrustful looks of the pack made him take a step back and reassert himself. "Do you know what's happening to him?"
