gracie put clips at the front of her hair, tucking her hair back slightly as she watched in the mirror. she also had on a blue dress that was gonna match with stellas except hers was more fluffier since it was sour prom.
"graciee..!" stella said in a sing-songy voice, wrapping her arms around gracies shoulders despite her being shorter.
"stell..!" gracie said in the same tone, her hands going up to where stellas arms were, holding onto her lower part of her arm.
"you look gorgeous- as always!" stella said happily, stepping back from gracie and turning gracie around so she could see her fully.
gracie laughed and threw her head back as she did. "you do too." she said with the same cheeky smile she always had. her hands went to stellas, holding onto them as they spoke to each other.
"are you all ready for your set?" stella asked gracie, her eyes flickered slightly with worry as she looked across gracies face like a painting.
"yes, yes.." gracie nodded with a little laugh at the end at how worried her girlfriend was. it still bugged her slightly about how the public only saw them as friends though.
stella continued to watch her. she watched as gracie sucked in her cheek slightly looking away. stella tilted her head as she saw that. "you feeling okay?"
gracies eyes flickered back to hers. she blinked a few times more. "yeah, just nervous-" gracie said with a shrug trying to stay on topic.
"as always." stella butted in. she rolled her eyes with the smile still evident on her face. "you're going to do fine. great even. don't overthink it." stella continued, squeezing gracies hands.
gracie smiled at the small gesture that she didn't seem to live down. "thanks stell." she said, nodding her head to her.
stella looked down at her necklace before starting to take it off- which she struggled for a while before letting go of one of gracies hands. gracies eyes drifted to when stella opened her palm, putting her star necklace in gracies palm.
gracies eyes softened once she saw it. even if it was just a normal star, it meant a lot. "you're kidding.." gracie said, one of the sides of her mouths glinting up slightly.
"your good luck charm. from me to you." stella said with a grin. she closed gracies palm for her before putting her hand over it. "use it for granted, okay?"
"i can't-"
"yes you can. i trust you."
gracie looked at her closed palm, her eyes softening extremely. "okay. thank you stell, really." gracie said, slightly tilting her head with her smile going up a bit.
"anything for my girl!" stella said happily, kissing her cheek as she wrapped her arm around gracie.
"ugh, i do not deserve you."
"i'm gonna be chewing on the wires in the back."
