Cannon fodder doesn't follow the script

Lin su locked the door once everyone entered the room.He sat down and panted for breath.This is the fastest run that he had ever run in his life.Jingchen also sat beside him.After controlling his breath Lin su took out a water bottle from his backpack to drink water.

While he was drinking water he saw others looking at him eagerly. He also gave them water to drink. "Why are you guys here.. What happened...can you tell us" Lin su asked the Yu brother and sister.

"First we have to thank you two for saving us.We are very grateful." Yu yuan and Yu qi thanked Lin su and Jingchen bowing."It's fine,now tell us what happened?.." Lin su was curious to know.

"Our team was on the way to the city A base but halfway through our car fuel got emptied.Our team leader got so angry and started attacking other members in the team saying that we are reckless for not filling up the tank.

He was a fire type user so when he attacked,the fire caught the car and it exploded attracting zombies. The leader and few other members fled the scene.That's all,You guys know what happened next." Lin su nodded his head.

"By the way I am Lin su and this is Jingchen" Lin su spoke."I am Yu yuan and this is my sister Yu qi" Yu yuan said.Suddenly they heard a low rumbling sound.Yu qi who was hungry lowered her head blushing.

Lin chuckled and rummaged through his backpack and found bread and milk.He gave them to Yu siblings to eat.He will not give them meat until he make sure they are reliable.For now it's only for him and Jingchen.

Lin su got near the window to check if the protagonists has appeared.He stood there for five minutes and saw a car stopping there.The protagonists got out of the car checked the situation and left the place after finding no one alive.

"System explain the plot of Yu siblings.I don't find them strong right now"

{Host Yu siblings are the second male and female leads in the plot.They both were saved by the protagonists at this place.They were taken to city A base.Yu yuan fell in love with Lin bai and Yu qi fell in love with Lu Xian.They both were miserable second leads.

They helped the protagonists in everyway possible as their power increased in the later period.But they could not get the protagonists love.Later Yu yuan gave his life to save Lin bai.Yu qi was devastated by the death of her brother and left the base on the same day.

She came to realize that it was her stupidity to fall in love with Lu Xian.But what she didn't know is that Lin bai already sent few people following her to kill her.Yu qi fought with them but her power could not be compared with ten men power so she died that day.}

"Ohh..they are really miserable. What are their powers?.."

{Yu yuan has wood power and Yu qi has wind power host.}

Jingchen came near Lin su who was standing near the window.He didn't know why but he always want to be closer to Lin su.He does not any other person touching him.He has been alone for thirty two years of his life and nobody has ever made him feel like this.

Lin su turned around after speaking with the system only to bump into Jing chen's chest. "Oww..." Lin su's nose turned red.
Jingchen felt guilty and said sorry and rubbed Lin su's nose.

They both felt the goosebumps again but ignored it.The Yu siblings finished eating and were watching them.Lin su face turned red and pushed Jingchen's hand away.He cleared his throat and came near the siblings.

"Do you guys wanna go to City A base?.."

Yu yuan:"Yes but we really don't know how to get there now.How about you two?.."

Lin su turned around and looked at Jingchen and answered "We do not plan to join any base.We like to act alone.If you guys wanna join us you are welcome to join.I will take the charge of feeding you guys."

Jingchen came near him and held his hand while he folded behind. Lin su can feel that Jingchen is jealous.He chuckled and patted Jingchen's hand to reassure him.

"Can we really join you?.."Yu qi spoke for the first time.

"Yes you can.But there is something you guys should know about.We will not stay in a permanent place like a base.We will move around going to different places.If we find more people who are willing to join us than maybe we can form a base."

"Okay" Yu yuan thought for a while and accepted the offer. "That's good.If you guys are tired you can sleep for a while." Yu siblings decided to take a nap and left the room.

Lin su and Jingchen were left alone."See we got more members in our team" Lin su chuckled. Jingchen became more jealous and hugged Lin su tightly.

Lin su felt a familiar embrace and scent on Jingchen and patted his back.Jingchen behavior is exactly the same as Ji chen.He is possessive of his person and did not like others touching him.

Though the system said it is impossible for ji chen to appear in this world he wants to believe Ji chen would appear here.He also tightened his hands around Jingchen.

They decided to stay the night in the apartment and leave tomorrow.Lin su and jingchen slept on the same bed.Jingchen wanted to cuddle him but he held back.

In the morning they woke and got ready to leave.Jingchen drove the car,Lin su sat on the passenger seat and yu siblings sat on the back.

There were many zombies that appeared on the way.Jingchen sped up and ran over the zombies that was on the runway.Lin su looked out of the window to see many zombies walking around.Many broken cars and not a trace of living people.

Maybe all those people may have left find a safe place to move in.Lin su felt hungry and decided to eat. He also gave others food to eat.The car was moving very fast when they saw a group of people fleeing in different directions.

Jingchen stopped the car and they all got down.Lin su was shocked to see the scene that was happening there.A huge mutated banyan tree was using it's tentacles to deal with the people attacking it.

The tree may have been a century year old tree.The tree looked majestic and tall with a thick trunk and branches.The people who were attacking it could not even damage it's small branches.

Seeing this Lin su guessed that the tree should be a level three power house.Its only been three months since the apocalypse started. Humans may only have few people at this level.He watched all those people getting killed by the tree.

"Don't you want to help them?.."Yu yuan asked Lin su.He just smirked without answering.

{Host you guys can try defeating it.The center of the banyan tree has level three crystal nucleus in it.It can be used to improve wood powers host.}

"Wait...Are you saying that only plants have crystal nucleus and zombies don't.."

{Yes host.This book is completely different.In this the plants also got powers like fire,thunder etc...The color of the nucleus determines their power.This plant has a green color crystal so it's a wood power. Defeating mutated plants is more difficult than defeating zombies.}
