word count: 1850————few days later————
————Wanda's pov————Sunlight filtering through the window wakes me up, with a small sigh I open my eyes and look around. I'm finally back at the tower after being examined by shield for a few days.
Y/n fell asleep in my room last night during a movie. It was my first night back and she wanted to spend time with me so obviously I agreed.
She has been a little weird, she's acting like I died and came back from the dead, being very clingy but quiet.
I'm not complaining though, I love when she's with me even if she's just in the same room, I like knowing she's safe and sound.
But there's also a slight tension in Y/n, I notice it when I move too quickly around her. Not all the time, but sudden movements from anyone slightly freak her out recently.
No one will tell me what happened a few days ago and it's getting frustrating. I have no conscious memories from the days I was supposedly "asleep" I know they are lying but I need proof to find out the truth.
Maybe if I just beg Tony, apparently something happened with him aswell. Everyone is keeping me in the dark, even Y/n.
She never lies to me but for some reason she won't tell me anything about the days I was asleep.
She always replies with a "I don't know." Or "I'm not sure, you'd have to ask Natasha." And when I try to ask her she doesn't answer.
My body feels exhausted, like I've trained for hours straight and have no energy left but more intricate than that, I'm not exactly sure.
Also so many things aren't quite adding up, why do Tony and Steve remember everything and I can't.
I'm going to figure this out today.
I brush my fingers through Y/n's hair gently to wake her up, "Good morning my sweet girl, I'm getting up but you can stay here, it's still pretty early." I whisper quietly and kiss her head softly before getting out of bed.
I tuck her back in, knowing she's probably gonna sleep a little while longer and send Natasha a quick text to let her know Y/n is asleep in my room and I'm going out for a little bit.
I'm have questions and there's only one place with the answers.

Walking into the shield building brings up bad feelings, I'm not 100% sure why, it's just not a welcoming place.
Usually most of the agents smile or nod at me in recognition for being an Avenger and a part of their team.
Today is different. The only looks I get are ones of fear and distrust, it's strange and I'm confused, but I keep walking anyways.
It pulls my heartstrings a little bit, I've worked hard trying to find ways to make people not be afraid of me, sometimes things just won't change.
I make it to Fury's office pretty quickly, with a deep breath I knock on the door and wait for an answer.
"Come in, Maximoff." I hear his deep voice from behind the door.
I let go of the breath I was holding and slip silently into the office.
"How did you know it was me?" I ask confused as I walk into the room further, taking in his barely decorated shelves and desk.
"I know every person who walks in and out of this building, especially the most dangerous ones." He says calmly, I tilt my head.
