Healing isn't some beautiful, graceful journey. It's messy. It's painful. It's full of setbacks, breakdowns, and moments where you feel like you're back at square one.
Some days, you'll feel fine. You'll think you've moved on. You'll believe you've finally let go.
And then, out of nowhere, it hits you.
A song, a place, a memory. And suddenly, you're right back where you started, missing people you shouldn't miss, hurting over things that should have healed.
And in those moments, you'll wonder if you'll ever truly heal.
But let me tell you something—healing isn't about never feeling pain again. It's about learning how to carry it without letting it destroy you. It's about knowing that even on your worst days, you are still moving forward.
It's about waking up every morning and choosing to keep going, even when you don't feel like it. It's about being patient with yourself, forgiving yourself, and understanding that healing doesn't happen overnight.
Some wounds take time. Some scars will always be there. But just because something hurt you doesn't mean it has to define you.
You are more than your pain. You are more than what happened to you.
And I know it doesn't feel like it right now, but one day, you'll look back and realize you made it through.
One day, you'll wake up, and the things that used to break you won't hurt as much anymore. One day, you'll hear that song, see that place, remember that memory, and instead of feeling pain, you'll feel peace.
And that day?
That day will make all of this worth it.
