You don't have to be the person they expect you to be. You don't have to soften your edges, dim your light, or shrink yourself just to make them feel better.

You don't owe the world a version of yourself that makes them comfortable.

Be loud if that's who you are. Be quiet if that's who you are. Be soft, be bold, be unapologetically you. Because the people who truly care about you will love you as you are—not as they want you to be.

Too many people spend their lives molding themselves into what others expect, afraid that if they show their true selves, they'll be rejected. But what's the point of being loved if it's not for who you really are?

You don't exist to be easy for others to deal with. You don't exist to fit into their expectations. You are not here to live a life that makes everyone else comfortable while you suffer in silence.

The truth is, people will always have opinions. They will always try to tell you who you should be, how you should act, what you should change. And if you keep listening to them, you will never be free.

But you deserve to be free.

You deserve to live a life that feels right to you. You deserve to be yourself without fear.

So stop hiding. Stop apologizing for who you are.

And if they can't handle you? Let them go.

Because the right people—the ones who truly matter—will never ask you to be anyone other than yourself.
