The loneliest people aren't the ones who never had love. They're the ones who gave it away too freely, who poured themselves into others until there was nothing left. They're the ones who stayed up at night answering the calls, listening, comforting, being there when no one else was. They're the ones who carried everyone else's burdens while no one even bothered to ask if they were okay.

And the saddest part? They didn't expect anything in return.

They didn't love in hopes of receiving the same love back. They didn't listen in hopes of being listened to. They did it because it's who they are. Because they knew what it felt like to be alone, to be unheard, to be abandoned. And they didn't want anyone else to feel that way.

But somewhere along the way, they forgot about themselves.

They became so used to giving that they didn't realize they were running on empty. They didn't realize that they were slowly breaking under the weight of everyone else's problems, while their own problems remained ignored—even by themselves.

And the people they gave everything to? They got used to taking. They got used to receiving. And when they no longer needed that person's love, they left. Because why stay when you've already taken everything you needed?

That's how the loneliest people are made.

Not because they never had love, but because they had too much of it and gave it all away—to the wrong people.

But here's what you need to understand: not everyone deserves you. Not everyone deserves the way you love, the way you care, the way you give. Some people only take and never look back. And if you don't start protecting yourself, you'll end up feeling completely drained, empty, and alone.

So be careful who you give yourself to. Love deeply, but not blindly. Care, but don't let people use your kindness as an open door to walk all over you.

Because if you give too much to the wrong people, you'll wake up one day and realize you have nothing left—not even for yourself.
