MIA WAS NOW NINE years old, a bright and inquisitive girl full of curiosity and life. As she walked alongside Draco, her father, she felt a flutter of excitement in her chest.

They were on their way to visit Pansy and Blaise, who had recently welcomed a new addition to their family—a baby girl.

“I can’t wait to see her, Daddy!” Mia exclaimed, practically bouncing on her toes as they approached the cozy home of her friends.

“I know, sweetheart. Just remember to be gentle,” Draco reminded her, his tone warm but firm.

Mia nodded eagerly, her dark hair bouncing with her excitement. “I will! I promise!”

When they entered the house, the air was filled with the scent of fresh flowers and the soft coos of a newborn.

Pansy was seated on the couch, cradling the tiny bundle in her arms. Blaise stood nearby, looking both proud and a bit exhausted.

“Mia! Draco!” Pansy greeted them, her voice full of warmth. She smiled brightly, her eyes sparkling with joy. “Come meet your new little cousin!”

Mia dashed over, her eyes wide with wonder. “She’s so tiny!”

Draco watched as Mia rushed toward Pansy, wrapping her arms around her in a tight hug.

“How do you feel, Aunt Pansy?” she asked, her voice mature beyond her years.

Pansy chuckled, clearly taken aback by Mia’s maturity. “I feel amazing, sweetheart! Tired, but amazing. It’s so wonderful to finally hold her.”

Draco stood back for a moment, feeling an overwhelming sense of pride swell in his chest.

His daughter was growing into a thoughtful, kind young girl, and he couldn’t help but admire her as she approached the baby.

“Can I hold her?” Mia asked eagerly, glancing back at Pansy with wide eyes.

“Of course!” Pansy said, carefully transferring the baby into Mia’s arms. “Just be very gentle, alright?”

Mia nodded vigorously, her eyes shining as she gazed down at the tiny girl swaddled in a soft pink blanket.

The baby was no bigger than Mia’s forearm, and she looked so delicate that Mia was almost afraid to move.

“Why is she so small?” Mia asked, her brows furrowing in confusion as she studied the infant’s tiny features.

Draco stepped forward, smiling at his daughter’s curiosity. “She’s small because she’s a newborn, Mia. Just like you were when you were born. You were tiny once, too.”

Mia’s eyes widened as she processed that information. “I was?” she asked, looking up at Draco with a mixture of disbelief and wonder. “But I can’t imagine being that small!”

Draco chuckled softly. “Believe me, you were. You fit right in my hand. It’s amazing how quickly you grow.”

“Can I poke her cheek?” Mia asked, a mischievous smile creeping onto her face.

“Just one little poke,” Pansy laughed, giving Mia the go-ahead.

Mia gently poked the baby’s soft cheek, her face lighting up when the infant made a tiny, adorable sound.

“Aww! She’s so cute!” Mia exclaimed, her heart melting at the sight of the little girl.

“What’s her name?” Mia asked, glancing back at Pansy.

“Her name is Lily,” Pansy replied proudly, her eyes shining with love. “Lily Rose Zabini.”

“Lily,” Mia repeated, savoring the name. “That’s a pretty name for a pretty baby.”

Draco watched with a smile as Mia continued to marvel at the baby. She leaned closer, her curiosity taking over as she observed every little detail. “What do babies eat? Do they drink milk like I used to?”

Pansy nodded, smiling at her. “Yes! Babies drink milk. Right now, Lily drinks from a bottle, but soon she’ll start eating baby food.”

“Will she learn to walk and talk like me?” Mia asked, her eyes wide with curiosity.

“Absolutely,” Draco replied, his voice filled with warmth. “But it will take time. You’re a big girl now, and it’s all part of growing up.”

Mia beamed with pride at being a big girl. “I can’t wait to teach her everything! I’ll show her how to play Quidditch and how to do magic!”

Pansy laughed lightly. “That’s quite a lot for a baby, but I’m sure she’ll love to learn from her big cousin.”

“Can I give her a toy?” Mia asked, her eyes sparkling with ideas.

“Of course, but remember, it has to be soft and safe,” Draco reminded her, looking pleased at Mia’s thoughtfulness.

Mia dashed off to the nearby playroom and returned moments later with a plush toy in the shape of a dragon. “Look! This is perfect for her!”

She gently placed the toy next to Lily’s tiny hand, her heart swelling with joy as the baby instinctively wrapped her fingers around the soft fabric.

“See? She likes it!” Mia said, clapping her hands in delight.

Blaise leaned down, resting his hand on Mia’s shoulder. “You’re going to be a great big cousin, Mia. Lily is lucky to have you.”

“Thanks, Uncle Blaise!” Mia beamed, feeling proud of her new role.

“Why don’t we get a picture of all of us together?” Pansy suggested, eager to capture the moment. “Draco, come sit next to us!”

Draco obliged, settling onto the couch beside Pansy, while Mia carefully held Lily in her arms.

Blaise stood beside them, throwing his arm around Pansy’s shoulders, and they all smiled widely for the camera.

“Say cheese!” Pansy called out, and the room was filled with laughter and joy.

As they settled back down, Mia looked at her father with wide eyes. “Daddy, can we visit Lily often? I want to help take care of her!”

Draco’s heart warmed at her enthusiasm. “Of course, love. We’ll come back as often as we can.”

“I’ll bring her toys and teach her about Quidditch!” Mia declared, her excitement bubbling over.

“I’m sure she’ll love that,” Draco said, kissing her forehead. “You’re going to be a wonderful cousin.”

Mia’s face lit up with happiness, her heart swelling with love for the new addition to their family.

At that moment, she realized that being a big cousin was just as special as being a daughter.

As the afternoon went on, the room was filled with laughter and warmth, the bonds of family growing stronger with every shared moment.

Mia knew that she would cherish these memories forever, and she couldn’t wait to see how her relationship with Lily would blossom over the years.
