THE SUN ROSE BRIGHTLY on the day Mia would embark on her Hogwarts adventure. In the Malfoy household, excitement mingled with nerves, and Mia was caught in a whirlwind of emotions.

“Daddy! I can’t find my other shoe!” Mia exclaimed, rummaging through her neatly organized room, her heart racing as she searched for the missing piece of her uniform.

“Take a deep breath, Mia. It’s probably right where you left it,” Draco replied, leaning against the doorframe with a reassuring smile. “You’re going to do great today, I promise.”

“But what if I get lost? What if no one wants to be my friend?” she fretted, finally finding her shoe hidden beneath her bed.

“Mia, everyone is feeling just as nervous as you are. You’re a kind and clever girl; you’ll make friends in no time,” Draco assured her, kneeling down to her eye level. “Remember what we talked about? Be yourself, and don’t hesitate to say hello to someone new.”

Mia nodded, taking a deep breath and slipping on her shoe. “Okay. I’ll try.”

“Good. Now, let’s get going; we don’t want to miss the train!” Draco said, grabbing her hand as they headed out of the house.

The ride to King’s Cross Station was filled with a mix of excitement and anticipation. Mia looked out the window, watching the world blur by. “I can’t believe I’m finally going to Hogwarts,” she said, her voice barely above a whisper.

“Believe it! You’ve been waiting for this day for so long,” Draco replied, a hint of nostalgia in his voice. “It feels like just yesterday you were a tiny baby in my arms.”

Mia giggled, trying to imagine herself as a baby. “I bet I was super cute!”

“You still are,” Draco chuckled, ruffling her hair affectionately.

As they arrived at King’s Cross, the bustling crowds of parents and students created an exciting atmosphere. Draco and Mia made their way through the throng, heading toward Platform 9¾.

“There it is!” Mia exclaimed, her eyes lighting up as she spotted the barrier leading to the magical platform. “I can’t wait!”

Draco placed a hand on her shoulder, guiding her toward the barrier. “Ready? Let’s go.”

With a determined nod, Mia ran toward the barrier, and Draco followed closely. They emerged onto Platform 9¾, and the sight of the gleaming Hogwarts Express filled Mia with awe.

“It’s so beautiful!” she gasped, taking in the vibrant red of the train and the excited chatter of students.

Just then, they spotted familiar faces—Harry, Ginny, Ron, and Hermione were standing nearby, their children, Lily Luna Potter and Hugo Weasley, bouncing with anticipation.

“Mia! Draco!” Harry called, waving them over.

“Hey, Harry! Ginny!” Draco greeted, a warm smile on his face.

“Mia, are you excited?” Ginny asked, kneeling down to meet Mia at eye level.

“Yes! But I’m also a bit nervous,” Mia admitted, biting her lip.

“That’s completely normal,” Ginny reassured her. “You’ll have so much fun. Just remember, you can always ask for help if you need it.”

“Yeah, and if anyone bothers you, just let me know,” Ron chimed in, giving her a thumbs up. “I’ll take care of them.”

Mia giggled. “Thanks, Uncle Ron!”

“Are you ready to join the Hogwarts crew?” Hermione asked, smiling warmly. “You’ll be in the same year as Lily and Hugo, which is perfect!”

“Really?” Mia’s eyes widened in delight. “That’s awesome!”

As they chatted, Mia noticed Harry’s daughter, Lily, standing shyly beside her. Gathering her courage, Mia took a step forward. “Hi, I’m Mia. What’s your name?”

“I’m Lily,” she replied, her voice soft but friendly. “I’m really nervous too.”

“Me too! But I hear the food at Hogwarts is really good!” Mia said, trying to lighten the mood.

Lily’s face lit up. “Really? I can’t wait to try it!”

Draco watched his daughter with pride as she made a new friend. “Looks like you’re already making connections,” he said, giving her an encouraging nod.

“Yeah, it’s fun!” Mia beamed.

Soon, it was time for the children to board the train. The parents helped them with their luggage, and Mia took a moment to hug Draco tightly. “I’ll miss you, Daddy,” she said, her voice muffled against his shoulder.

“I’ll miss you too, sweetheart. But remember, this is just the beginning. You’re going to have an amazing time. I’ll be waiting for your letters,” Draco replied, his heart full of mixed emotions.

“Okay!” Mia pulled back and smiled up at him, a spark of confidence igniting in her eyes. “I’ll write to you every day!”

“Deal,” Draco said, feeling a lump in his throat as he watched her step toward the train.

As the train whistle blew, the students hurried to find seats. Mia, Lily, and Hugo squeezed into a compartment together, excited chatter filling the air.

“Do you think we’ll get sorted into the same house?” Mia asked, her voice bubbling with anticipation.

“I hope so!” Lily replied, her enthusiasm matching Mia’s. “That would be so cool!”

“Maybe we can stick together no matter what,” Hugo suggested. “We’ll have each other’s backs.”

Just then, the train started moving, and Mia looked out the window, waving at Draco and the other parents. “Bye, Daddy! I love you!” she shouted, her heart swelling with a mix of joy and nostalgia.

“Love you too, Mia!” Draco called back, watching until the train disappeared around the bend.

With a smile on her face, Mia turned to her new friends. “I can’t wait for our first class!”

“Me neither!” Lily and Hugo chimed in, their excitement palpable.

As the Hogwarts Express chugged away from King’s Cross, the three new first-years settled in for their journey, ready to embrace the magic and adventure that awaited them at Hogwarts.
