This ask is from Rosesummer16 on AO3!: To Sonic: Have you ever wanted to try on shadows skates/air shoes?

To shadow: Why are you emo?

Sonic threw up the moment his mushroom dinner hit his tongue. 

Shadow, who hadn't actually intended to have Sonic eat the whole mushroom meal, only a few bites as punishment for calling him edgy (even if it was true), made a face of disgust at the vomit now on his doona cover.

'Well, isn't that going to be a nightmare to wash out?' Shadow thought before taking the bowl of mushroom soup and replacing it with a plate of two chilli dogs.

Sonic, who looked like death was coming for him just a second ago after eating mushrooms and throwing up, suddenly brightened at the sight of his favourite food and wasted no time picking one of the chilli dogs up. 

Taking a big happy bite, a small purr burst forth as the heavenly taste of chilli dog washed away the horrible taste of mushrooms and vomit.

Snorting softly at his boyfriend's reaction, Shadow put his own meal of chicken & roasted veggies aside in favour of pulling the blanket off of Sonic and ripping the doona cover off it.

The blue hedgehog whined at the sudden chill at the blanket being ripped off him, but he quickly quieted down and went back to his chilli dogs when he realised Shadow was just getting rid of the vomit-soaked doona cover.

Rolling the soiled doona cover up, Shadow made his way over to the bathroom, where he filled the tub with warm water before dropping the vomit-covered doona cover into it to deal with later and quickly went back into the room where his bed that houses Sonic is. 

He then sits back down, grabs his plate of chicken & roasted veggies, and continues eating.

Ten minutes after they finished eating, the floating screen made its appearance. Both hedgehogs look over at it and read their respective questions.

Sonic hummed with a small nod as he absently licked some spilt chilli off of his gloved paw before answering.

Sonic: I have indeed wanted to try on Shadow's air shoes before, but the meanie won't relinquish them for anything!

Shadow huffed, crossing his arms.

Shadow: These Air shoes are mine. Want to try them on? 

He growls as his red eyes seem to flash for a split second.

Shadow: You'll have to kill me first.

Sonic stared at him with wide eyes.

Sonic: Did your eyes just...?

Shadow cuts him off when he decides to answer his own question.

Shadow: I'm not emo. I'm just slightly... angsty when it comes to certain multiple decisions at once.

The blue hedgehog looks at him weird.

Sonic: Is that what part of being emo is though?

The black hedgehog snarls.

Shadow: What would you know? You don't even know what Looney Tunes is!

Blue ears drooped.

Sonic: Ok...that was surprisingly hurtful.

A/N: Sorry for the wait. I got sick last Saturday and have only just started getting better a couple of days ago. I think it might have been a head cold.

I can breathe now, but I DO still have a cough, and I likely will have one for another week or so, but other than that, I'm back to normal!
