18. Dahlia Flower

"You good, bro?"

"Oh, uh, yeah." He shook his head and held out his hand to Dahlia. "I'm Hiccup."

"I'm Dahlia." She replied. "I never got your name." She turned to me.

"Talulahh. My friends call me Tu." I replied, my face still expressionless and my arms crossed.

We introduced Dahlia to the other riders and she told us how her family abandoned her on an island. She found a ship wreck and fixed it up. Then she sailed for months until she crashed and ended up on our island.

Astrid's POV:

Tu had found a girl in shipwreck. What an odd day. I was still suspicious of Dahlia, I could tell Lula was too. Talulahh kept a stern expression on her face th whole time. She honestly reminded me of Stoick.

Dahlia looked around at the dragons nervously. "They don't bite." I said. She relaxed slightly.

"Unless we tell them to." Lula said, leaning against Sapphire. Dahlia tensed up again.

"Don't scare her." Hiccup gave his sister a look. "Well, Dahlia, would you like to join the Dragon Riders?" He looked at the girl like she hung the moon.

"Uh, Hiccup." Tu said. "That's a big decision."

"You're right." He turned back to Dahlia. "You can stay with us for the time being. We can even get you a dragon."

"Oh, um, ok. Thank you. You as well, Tu." Dahlia said to the pair.

Tu glared at the girl. "I said my friends could call me that." Dahlia looked down.

"Talulahh." Hiccup warned. She rolled her eyes. I like this side of her. Well, I like every side of her, but you know what I mean.

"You can find a dragon for her, right?" Hiccup asked his sister. She reluctantly nodded. "Great. You can do that in the morning."

"You can stay in my hut." Snotlout offered, raising his eyebrows up and down.

"Ew." Lula muttered.

"Actually she can stay in my hut." I said. "I'll just stay with Tu."

"Good idea."

Talulahh's POV:

I was assigned the task of finding candidates for Dahlia's dragon. Most likely fo me to learn to get along with her.

I got up bright and early and guess what. Hiccup is making me take Dahlia. I can tell she's scared of me. I don't blame her.

"Come on." I said, seeing the girl stand out side of Astrid's hut. Dahlia looked up at Sapphire, who was looming over me.

"What's it's name?" She asked, climbing onto the back of my saddle.

"Sapphire." I answered shortly.

"That's beautiful. She's beautiful." Dahlia complemented.

"Let's be clear, Dahlia. I don't trust you. You have to earn my trust." I spat out bitterly.

"I intend to do that." She said sheepishly.

We rode in silence until we found an island that would most likely have plenty of wild dragons. "So..." Dahlia started.

"Are you and Astrid like...a thing?" She asked. "Not to intrude." She quickly added.

"Yes."

"And Hiccup's your brother?"

"Yes."

Dahlia nodded. Saph landing on the ground and I slid off my saddle. Dahlia tried to do that. She face planted.
