Tonight was a night to remember.

To celebrate the anniversary of the town, the Sprunki's of Sprunki Hollow had decided to throw a party, where they all celebrate each other, and their contributions toward building a beautiful place to live. While the party was Oren's style, he suddenly felt ill and dizzy right in the middle of the celebration. Pinki had taken him home, and now, he was currently sitting up in his bed, contemplating what had gone wrong.

He didn't dance, and he didn't eat any strange foods... so why was he sick? Oren takes a few deep breaths to calm his headache, which was, of course, more tame than it was earlier, but it was still bothersome overall. 'Why'd I have to get sick tonight out of all nights...?' He asked himself, leaning back on the headboard of his bed.

After realizing that sitting and doing nothing wasn't gonna make him get any better, Oren gets out of bed and heads out of his house, closing the door behind himself. Yeah, he was stupid for going outside while being sick, but being in a stuffy room for an hour straight doing nothing isn't any healthier. If anything, all he wanted was some fresh air at this point. He strolls down the trail and into the forest nearby. Oren's walked this way plenty of times before, so the thought of walking through the wilderness at night doesn't scare him.

As the soft breeze blew against his face, he took another deep breath; much better when compared to the stuffy air inside his house.

But something catches his ears. Oren stops, his antennas twitching to the familiar sound. In the distance, the soft melody of a trumpet could be heard. A melody so soft it calms down Oren's aching head, and a smile forms on his face. The orange alien walks towards the source of the music, and there he saw a beautiful purple dragon who went by the name of Durple. The two were already familiar with each other, and the rest too were familiar with the dragon as well, but for Oren, the two were closer than ever. As he approaches his content friend, he reflects on the many things he and Durple had been through since childhood. Both didn't have the life they needed, but sooner or later met the friends they've always wanted. Growing up with Simon was troublesome, sure, but the three remained inseparable.

...Even so, Oren was unable to stop his growing feelings towards Durple. It happened one day while, coincidentally, Oren had been sick. Simon wasn't doing so well taking care of him, so Durple took charge and made sure he was alright. That night, Durple had held his hand tenderly, and he felt a warmth spread through his chest. One Oren never thought he'd feel, especially for another guy.

"Well? Are you just gonna sit and stare at me?"

The friendly voice snaps Oren out of his thoughts, and he looks over at Durple, who was staring at the still lake in front of him. Oren doesn't respond for a while, but when he does, he chuckles fondly. "Nah, not anymore." he shakes his head. He walks up to Durple and plops down next to him, staring at the lake as well. Durple was a water dragon, so it's understandable how he liked water. Oren liked water too; yet, it isn't because of the fun activities he could do, but it was rather because it reminded him of his stretchy-skinned friend beside him. Durple always had a beauty to him, especially when it comes down to the way he swims; he makes it look so... majestic and alluring. Oren can't fully describe how Durple does it, but the best way to do so is to compare it to magic.
