"Y/n! Y/n! Wake up! Y/N!!!"
"Shh...Don't wake lady y/n up! She's exhausted!"
"But Quinn is―"
"Quinn is what?!"
You shot out of bed.
"What happened to Quinn?!" you exclaimed.
Madelyn rushed over to you.
"Quinn..! She was supposed to come back from Liyue three days ago! We contacted her family but they said she left her sisters at Mount Aocang! A Fatui member named Luke brought them back. She's missing y/n! MISSING!!!" she exclaimed.
"Hey―! Calm down Madelyn! Are you sure she didn't get lost?" you asked, visibly worried. Quinn had never been late, let alone just disappear out of nowhere. What could have happened?
Madelyn began pacing. "I knew I should've gone with her back to Liyue! I'm sorry y/n. I should've gone with her. Maybe then all of this wouldn't happen..."
You shook you head. "Madelyn, it's not your fault. What if something happened to you too? At least your safe, right? Now we can look for Quinn together, okay?"
You took her hand. "Come on! We have to go!"
You and Madelyn began to investigate, asking everyone about Quinn's whereabouts, and looking for all traces of her. Eventually, you sat down for a short break.
'Shit...'
If only she was here. She know what to do in any situation. What if she was...dead? No no no...That can't be. You refuse to just sit here while Quinn's life was in danger!
You got up and began investigating again. You had to keep trying. For Quinn.

You pushed your meal away. After looking for any clues to find Quinn all day, you had gotten nowhere. You couldn't even eat, feeling guilt at the fact that you couldn't do anything to help. You sighed and went back to your desk, sifting through your notes. You had even spoken to Luke, who had left shortly before Quinn's disappearance and had brought her sisters home. Nothing. No clues, no traces. It was as if Quinn just...vanished into thin air. You were lost in thought when a sudden knock on the door snapped you out of your trance.
"Come in!" you said, putting the stack of papers aside.
The door creaked open and there stood Madelyn, looking glum and tired.
"Madelyn, are you alright?" you asked as she flopped onto a chair.
"I can't find anything. Quinn's just...gone."
You couldn't help but feel worry and guilt. Madelyn had never looked this dejected. But then again, what could you do? You had gotten nowhere all day. You pushed those thoughts aside. They only made things worse.
Madelyn got up again. "I'm going to go find Luke..." she mumbled, leaving.
You leaned back in your chair, closing your eyes. You really wished Quinn was here right now...

You jolted awake, your sleep interrupted by a knock on your window. You froze. Who was visiting at this hour? And why do you have such a bad feeling about this. You quickly sat up and pressed your back against the wall that the window was on, staying out of the person's sight. You looked to see who it was and your mind began racing in panic. It was him. Your attacker from a month ago. The one that took you away before you had even reached Capitano's residence. And now you could confirm it. He was the one that took Quinn. She was right there, tied up with a knife to her throat. Your heart sank. This was your fault. If only━ No. She was still there. You still had a chance.
He knocked on the window again. "Y/n, I know you're in there. Come out or else your little friend here won't be safe for much longer~"
You took a deep breath. You had to open that window. You had to keep Quinn safe.
You carefully unlatched the lock and pushed it open. The attacker slipped inside, still holding onto Quinn.
"I let you in. Let her go." you told him, your voice more uncertain then you would've liked.
"No yet. I'm here for a reason." he stated. "I'll let her go, under one condition. You come with me."
"Y/n! Don't!" Quinn exclaimed.
"Hush. this is her deal to make. So what do you say y/n? Are you coming?"
You hesitated. What would Capitano think? But if you didn't, Quinn would die. You nodded. You couldn't just live your life, knowing that Quinn's death would be your fault.
The attacker grinned and let Quinn go. "I knew you'd agree."
He took your wrist and leapt out the window again. Just before you were pulled out with him, you turned back to Quinn.
"Tell Lord Capitano I'll be back."
