Mattheo raised a brow. "Smart girl."

I stirred my coffee absentmindedly before glancing up at Theo and Blaise, who were still deep in their Quidditch debate. Their conversation had been going on for at least ten minutes, and I had understood exactly none of it.

Finally, I set my cup down and raised a hand slightly. "Okay, wait—what is Quidditch?"

The entire table went silent.

Theo blinked at me like I had just spoken in Parseltongue. "You're joking, right?"

Mattheo smirked, resting his chin on his hand. "Oh, this is going to be good."

Draco, on the other hand, looked absolutely offended. "What do you mean what is Quidditch?" he repeated, staring at me like I had personally betrayed him.

I shrugged. "I didn't grow up around all this. I don't know what it is."

Pansy snorted. "Oh, Draco's going to love this one."

Draco ran a hand through his hair, exhaling sharply. "It's only the most important sport in the wizarding world! How do you—?" He shook his head. "Never mind. We're fixing this."

Blaise grinned. "Definitely. You have to come to the next match."

Theo leaned forward, his eyes lighting up. "It's a game played on broomsticks. There are four balls, seven players per team, and the goal is—"

Draco cut him off. "No, no, you're going to overcomplicate it." He turned to me, deadly serious. "Just know that I'm the Seeker, which means I'm the most important player on the pitch."

Blaise rolled his eyes. "Here we go."

Draco shot him a look but ignored the interruption, turning back to me. "The game is played on broomsticks. There are three Chasers who try to score with the Quaffle, two Beaters who handle the Bludgers—basically, enchanted balls that try to knock people off their brooms—a Keeper who guards the goalposts, and a Seeker." He smirked. "Which, as I said, is me."

I raised an eyebrow. "And what do you do?"

"The Seeker catches the Golden Snitch," he said, as if that explained everything. When I didn't react, he sighed and continued, "It's a tiny, winged ball that moves ridiculously fast. If I catch it, we get one hundred and fifty points and basically win the game."

Mattheo smirked. "Basically, Malfoy chases after a shiny flying object while the rest of the team actually plays."

Draco glared. "Excuse me?"

Blaise chuckled. "He's not wrong, mate."

Theo nudged me. "You should come watch our next game. Then you'll actually see how it works."

I shrugged. "I mean... sure? Could be fun."

Draco looked relieved, like my lack of Quidditch knowledge had been personally insulting. "Good. Then maybe you'll finally understand why I'm the best player on the team."

Blaise let out a loud, exaggerated groan. "Merlin, here we go again."

I couldn't help but laugh, shaking my head as the conversation turned into a full-on debate about who was actually the best player.

As the boys continued their endless debate, I leaned forward and asked, "So... can anyone play Quidditch?"

That shut them up.

Draco, looking almost personally offended again, narrowed his eyes. "You're not seriously considering playing, are you?"

I shrugged. "I don't know. Just curious."
