I snatched my cup back with a glare. "Maybe if you minded your own business, you wouldn't be such a pain in my ass."
Mattheo just smirked. "You love it."
Before I could argue, Draco cleared his throat. "Did you even sleep?"
I hesitated, my fingers tightening around my cup. He was the only one who would notice something like that. "Enough." I lied.
He didn't look convinced, but he didn't push it. Instead, he tossed a croissant onto my plate. "Eat."
I huffed but took a bite anyway, if only to stop them from nagging.
As breakfast carried on, the conversation drifted to classes, weekend plans, and, unfortunately, how much trouble we'd probably be in if a professor found out about last night.
"So," Pansy started, leaning in with a grin. "What's the plan for today? Because I, for one, am not in the mood for actual schoolwork."
I smirked, already thinking of ways to make the day a little more interesting. "Well, that depends... how much trouble are we willing to get into?"
Theo leaned forward, a mischievous glint in his eye. "I'd say we should aim for 'definitely getting detention but not quite expulsion.'"
Pansy smirked. "That's the sweet spot."
I laughed, taking another sip of coffee. "Alright, so what are we thinking? Skipping class? Sneaking into Hogsmeade? Maybe breaking into Filch's office and stealing back some confiscated goods?"
Mattheo raised a brow. "Do I even want to know why you've had things confiscated?"
I smirked. "Probably not."
Draco, who had been unusually quiet, sighed. "Or, and hear me out, we could go to class like normal students and avoid another letter home."
I rolled my eyes. "Draco, when have we ever done that?"
He pinched the bridge of his nose like he was already regretting being part of this conversation. "Fine. Just... whatever you lot decide, leave me out of it."
Pansy grinned. "Your loss, Malfoy."
We all finished breakfast, still tossing around ideas. By the time we left the Great Hall, it was clear skipping at least one class was inevitable. The only question was what we'd do with that free time.
After breakfast, I grinned as an idea popped into my head. "Why don't we just skip the whole day and go hang out by the Black Lake? Maybe even go for a swim?"
Pansy gasped dramatically. "Skipping all day? You rebel."
Theo smirked. "I like it. Warm weather, no annoying professors, and we get to see you freeze when you realize how cold that water actually is."
I rolled my eyes. "I can handle it."
Mattheo chuckled. "Alright then, let's do it."
Draco let out a long sigh. "Merlin help me."
I nudged him. "Oh, come on, Draco. Don't act like you won't have fun."
He muttered something under his breath but didn't protest.
We all headed back to our dorms to change, and as I rummaged through my trunk, I hesitated. I pulled out my bikini, chewing the inside of my cheek. I hadn't worn it in a while, and the idea of being seen in it made my stomach twist uncomfortably. I knew I had lost weight—I could feel it in my clothes, see it when I looked in the mirror.
What if they say something? What if I look awful?
I sighed, shaking off the thoughts. It's fine. It's just them.
