The mighty dark sky thundered up above as rainwater blitzed on top of the media personnel—the reporters and the assigned camera people—who tried to adjust the transparent brims attached to the hoods of their raincoats while correcting the angles of their umbrellas, all of them stationed outside the SIT headquarters along with their vans.
The fleet of cars that had just entered through the main gates of the massive government edifice slowly halted on the right side of the building, creating a giant curve.
The chaotic atmosphere surrounding the headquarters was shoved to the side by a veil of divine silence mixed with the sound of thunder and rain when the driver-side door of the Rolls Royce Phantom in the middle of the entourage unbolted and a man in black security gear stepped out.
Karim Khan briskly heel-and-toed towards the rear end door and opened it.
Out stepped a herculean frame of a man, with a blank face, visible because of the torchlight falling on his figure from the direction of the media personnel.
