Eid Al Adha day two.

Jameelah got up very early in the morning as usual and prayed Tahajjud.

She thanked Allah for the blessings and everything he's done in her life, she thanked him for Eid and for the biggest favor He had granted her, which is being a Muslim.

She sent blessings upon the prophet by reciting Dua e Ibrahimiyah, then she supplicated.

She prayed about her medical school, success in her degree, in life generally, her dreams, her goals and her future.

She prayed for her mom, her siblings, her relatives and the Muslim Ummah at large. Then she completed with ya Dhal Jalaali wal Ikram and Aamiin.

Her mom Joined her in the mini prayer room after making sure her other siblings were awake and they also joined shortly. She's always been the first to get up and she took that after her dad.

For all the time she's known him in her life, he's never missed his Tahajjud Salah and in the early hours of the morning, his melodious voice always fills the corners of the house.

Though Jameelah doesn't do it like her dad but the little way she could, she would ensure she wakes up and read her Quran audibly.

After Fajr and the morning Adhkaar, the women started to prepare everything that will be used for the sacrifice.

Right from the time their dad was still alive, their Qurbani is always done on the second day of Eid.

The first day will be spent at their grandparents place, that is Mr Abdul Razaq's parents, where all the family members meets up to celebrate Eid, also there in Ayetoro Abeokuta.

The same happened yesterday, though her husband isn't present again, Mrs Abdul Razaq still finds it in her to visit her in laws place. She shared a very strong bond with her mother in law and she's become nearly like her daughter.

The girls don't like visiting the place again. Ever since their dad passed away, Eid has ceased to be like it used to be and they barely survive in that environment seeing their uncles and aunts but not their dad.

Jameelah especially has a problem with this as the reality just seem hard to accept and whenever she sees her uncles, she sees her dad's face in theirs because of their striking resemblance and she struggles with the pain of missing him.

But she doesn't have a choice, when her mom says they'll go, they have to go.

Soon people from the community started visiting and chairs were placed outside for them to sit.

Mrs, Abdul Razaq cannot slaughter the ram herself, her husband used to do it for her and now that he's no more, she had to summon one of the religious leaders to slaughter on her behalf.

Alfa Aliu as he is always addressed is known to be a good butcher so in no time the meat was ready for distribution according to the Islamic teachings.

While the ram was being sacrificed, Jameelah's heart broke at the sight. She felt sorry for the poor ram but cheered up since that was Allah's decree.

A little feast was carried out, the women cooked and people ate to their fill. That was the tradition of Eid, to sacrifice with fear of Allah, feed the poor and needy and then felicitate with family and friends.

Towards the end of the day, people left for their respective homes one after the other and Mrs Abdul Razaq thanked them all.

Jameelah is grateful for the success of the Qurbani and she grinned all day.
The three siblings soon gathered in the kitchen to decide on what to do with their own share of the ram that was given to them as the children of the house.

"It's been cut into pieces. It will be easier to cook that way and then we can share it" Jameelah suggested and they all agreed but after cooking it and frying it, the meat had shrunk. This made Mazeedah frown.

"Now how do we want to share this now. Me I must Sha collect my own full share"

"We just have just done it separate then, maybe you'd be satisfied going through the stress alone" Hafsah said and Mazeedah hissed.

"Mazeedah calm down. We haven't even shared it yet. Let sister Hafsah share it as the eldest and whatever portion she gives you, you take it like that

"Rara o, no ooo. She should not share it o. She will cheat me that one sure me pass"

When Mazeedah wouldn't agree that their elder sister shared the meat, their mom came in and scolded them first then shared it for them.

"And you three will be behaving like kids. Shey Ẹ mọ pe ẹ ti dagba ni(Don't you know you're all grown ups)?" Mrs Abdul Razaq said while the siblings kept frowning at one another.

"I'm not surprised Sha. I know I'll always get the least share" Mazeedah complained after getting her own share

"Of course because you're the youngest" Hafsah yelled at her. She and Mazeedah aren't always on good terms with each other.

"At least you should be grateful for having a share. Little is better than none " Jameelah said and she rolled her eyes

"Leave her o. Until I collect it all from her and add it to the ones we'll use to cook soup for the household" Their mother said and the elder siblings laughed while Mazeedah took her share and headed to the kitchen, frowning.

"I'm keeping it in the fridge for now. Nothing must happen to it till I'll leave for school o"

"Iwo lo mọ. We're all leaving for school soon anyways"

"That's alright o. You should stop all these Mazeedah, Ahan kilode gan na(What's the problem now)" Their mom yelled

Jameelah just shook her head at her younger sister and proceeded with what she was doing.

Later at night, she secretly gave her more meat out of her own share and told her not to talk about it to anyone.

Mazeedah was happy and hugged her. She's more closer to Jameelah than her older sister.

Jameelah also personally dots on her being her immediate younger sister.
"Ijogbon after me(Trouble after me)" that's what she calls her.

The rest of the night was spent by their mom admonishing the three sisters, from the activities of the day, what they had done wrong and how to correct them to right.

Hafsah and Mazeedah especially were both adviced to cut their hot temper.

After supper and the Isha prayers, everyone went to bed.
