Y/N's POV
I wasn't nervous. Not at all.

If anything, I was thrilled.

Standing in front of Taylor Swift's house—the home she shared with him—was nothing short of exhilarating. This was my stage now, and I was about to put on the best performance of my life.

I rang the doorbell. A few seconds later, Travis Kelce pulled open the door, his massive frame filling the entrance.

Travis: "Y/N, right? Great to meet you."

His voice was warm, his handshake firm. I plastered on my best professional smile, stepping inside.

The house smelled expensive—fresh flowers, vanilla, and the faintest trace of something else. Taylor.

I knew she was here. Watching. Listening.

Good.

Travis led me into the living room, where the interview setup was waiting. I took my seat across from him, pulling out my recorder.

Y/N: "I appreciate you taking the time to do this. Let's get started."

The first half of the interview was safe.

Y/N: "You've been in the NFL for over a decade. What keeps you motivated?"

Travis: "Honestly? Just love for the game. I wake up every day excited to get better."

Y/N: "With such a demanding schedule, how do you unwind?"

Travis: "Hanging with my family, playing Call of Duty... and, of course, spending time with Taylor."

I hummed at that, my gaze flickering ever-so-slightly toward the hallway. I felt her there.

Y/N: "Balancing a high-profile career and personal life must be challenging."

Travis: "For sure, but Taylor gets it. She's just as busy as I am, so we make it work."

His words were solid, confident. Like a man who had nothing to worry about.

How cute.

I shifted in my seat, pretending to jot something down.

Y/N: "Since you and Taylor are both constantly traveling, how do you stay connected?"

Travis: "Lots of FaceTime. And when we're together, we try to be present."

I nodded, tapping my pen against my notepad.

Y/N: "Sounds like you two have a great system."

Travis grinned. "Yeah, it's easy when you're with the right person."

I fought the urge to scoff. Instead, I let my eyes drift for just a second—toward the hallway, where I knew she was.

Waiting.

Burning.

I could feel her from here, even without seeing her. The tension was so thick it was suffocating.

Time for the real test.

Y/N: "Would you mind taking a few photos for the article?"

Travis: "Of course. Where were you thinking?"

Y/N: "Maybe outside? A football field would be the perfect backdrop."

Travis: "Hell yeah. Let's do it."

I stood, smoothing my blouse.

Y/N: "Perfect."

And just like that, I had exactly what I wanted—time alone with her boyfriend.

Taylor's POV
I gripped the edge of the kitchen counter so tightly my knuckles turned white.

I had listened to every word. Every calculated sentence.

She was dangerous.

Not just because of her little mind games—but because of what she made me feel.

I wanted to hate her.

But I couldn't.

She wasn't just playing this game—she was winning.

She knew exactly what she was doing. The flicker of her eyes toward the hallway. The slow, deliberate way she said my name. The way she made me feel like I was losing control.

And now she was taking Travis away.

I clenched my jaw, my heart hammering.

This wasn't about the interview. It was about me.

I could see it in the way she smiled. The way she toyed with her words.

She was testing me.

And worst of all?

I was letting her

Y/N's POV
Travis and I reached the football field just as the sun dipped below the trees. The golden hour glow cast long shadows across the grass.

I lifted my camera, framing him through the lens.

Y/N: "Alright, let's get started."

He nodded, flashing an easy grin.

I took a few photos—simple, professional. But then I lowered my camera, tilting my head slightly.

Y/N: "You and Taylor... You two must really trust each other."

Travis chuckled. "Yeah, for sure. Why?"

I shrugged, adjusting the settings on my camera.

Y/N: "I don't know. Long-distance relationships can be tricky. Some people... get distracted."

He raised an eyebrow, but his expression remained relaxed. "Not us."

I smiled. Interesting.

I snapped a few more pictures, then let the silence stretch between us.

Travis: "So, tell me... You're a reporter, right? What made you want to do this interview?"

I met his eyes, my lips curling slightly.

Y/N: "Oh, I just love getting to the truth."

Taylor's POV
I paced the living room, my nerves stretched thin.

Y/N was alone with Travis.

And I had no idea what she was saying.

I pulled out my phone, my fingers hovering over her contact.

I should text her. Stop her.

But what would I even say?

Don't push this? Don't ruin my life? Don't make me choose?

I swallowed hard, my hands shaking.

A notification popped up on my screen.

Y/N: Time's up.

My blood ran cold.

Then another text.

Y/N: See you soon, Taylor.
