I felt a blush creeping up my neck. "What?" I asked, shifting slightly under the attention.

"You look..." Mattheo finally spoke, stepping closer. His voice was softer than usual, almost as if he was in awe. "Fucking breathtaking."

Pansy whistled, and Blaise let out a low chuckle. "Looks like Riddle's actually lost for words for once."

Mattheo rolled his eyes, but I could see the slight smirk playing on his lips. He held out his hand to me. "Shall we?"

I took a deep breath, placed my hand in his, and let him lead me out of the common room, feeling every pair of eyes on us as we left.

Mattheo led me through the dimly lit streets of Hogsmeade, his hand warm around mine as we walked. I wasn't sure where we were going until we reached a stunning little restaurant tucked away from the usual busy spots. It was elegant but cozy, the kind of place that felt almost hidden, like a secret only a few knew about.

He smirked at my reaction. "Figured you deserved something nice."

The host immediately led us to a private table near a large window, overlooking the candlelit garden outside. Everything about it felt... perfect.

As we sat down, Mattheo leaned forward slightly, resting his arms on the table. "You really do look beautiful tonight," he murmured, his eyes locked onto mine.

I bit my lip, trying to ignore the way my heart was racing. "You're not too bad yourself," I teased, smirking as he let out a low chuckle.

A waiter appeared with a bottle of wine, pouring us each a glass before leaving us alone again. I swirled the liquid in my glass, suddenly feeling a little nervous. "So," I started, looking at him through my lashes. "What's the occasion?"

Mattheo tilted his head slightly, as if debating his answer. "Do I need an occasion to take my girlfriend out?"

The word 'girlfriend' sent a small flutter through my stomach, but I didn't let it show. I just raised an eyebrow. "I suppose not."

He smirked again. "Good. Now let me spoil you for a night."

The kiss was slow and deep, filled with an emotion I couldn't quite name. Mattheo held me like I was something precious, his hands gentle as they rested on my waist. For once, I didn't feel like I had to be on guard. I just let myself sink into the warmth of him, the way his lips moved against mine like he had all the time in the world.

When we finally pulled away, his forehead rested against mine, his breath warm against my skin. "You have no idea what you do to me," he murmured, his voice barely above a whisper.

I smiled softly, my fingers lightly tracing patterns on his hand. "I think I have some idea."

He chuckled, shaking his head as he pulled me closer, tucking me against his chest. We sat there for what felt like forever, just listening to the sounds of the water and the distant chatter of students still lingering outside the castle.

Eventually, he sighed. "We should probably head back before Draco sends a search party."

I groaned, not wanting to move from our little bubble of peace. "You're probably right."

Reluctantly, we stood up, and Mattheo immediately draped his arm around my shoulders as we made our way back to the castle. The halls were quieter now, most students already in their dorms. As we approached the entrance to the Slytherin common room, he suddenly stopped, turning to face me.

"Stay with me tonight?" he asked, his voice unsure for the first time. "Just to sleep."

I hesitated for a moment, my mind flashing back to all the times I'd struggled to sleep, the nightmares that haunted me. But with Mattheo, it felt different. I nodded. "Okay."
