At some point, Fred and George found me again, grinning like they knew exactly how much fun I was having. "Having a good time, princess?" Fred teased.

I took another sip of my drink, smirking. "The best."

The music grew louder, the room warmer, and I let myself sink into the moment completely. For the first time in what felt like forever, I wasn't thinking about the war, my father, or what was coming.

Tonight, I was just... free.

At some point, I found myself on top of one of the tables, the bass of the music vibrating through my body as I danced like I didn't have a single care in the world. My head was light, my limbs loose, and every movement felt effortless.

"Oi, look at you!" Enzo shouted from below, grinning as he raised his drink toward me.

Mattheo leaned back against the couch, his dark eyes locked onto me with that familiar possessive glint. He had a cigarette hanging lazily between his lips, one hand holding his drink, the other tapping against his thigh as he watched me move.

"You're gonna fall, princess," he called up, smirking.

I threw my arms up, laughing. "Not a chance."

Theo shook his head, taking another swig of Firewhiskey. "She's lost it."

Pansy climbed up next to me, giggling as she grabbed my hands. "If she's lost it, I'm losing it too!"

We danced together, the whole common room alive with energy, our friends cheering us on. The heat of the moment, the rush of alcohol and magic, made me feel untouchable.

Mattheo finally stood, setting down his drink before making his way to me. "Alright, sweetheart, time to get down before you break something."

I pouted, but when he held out his arms, I didn't argue. I let myself fall into him, laughing as he caught me with ease.

"You're reckless," he murmured, his breath warm against my ear.

I smirked, my arms looping around his neck. "And you love it."

I let myself sink onto Mattheo's lap, my arms still draped around his neck as I caught my breath. His hands instinctively settled on my waist, fingers pressing into the fabric of my dress as he smirked up at me.

"Comfortable?" he asked, tilting his head.

I grinned, slightly breathless. "Very."

Theo, sitting across from us with a drink in hand, rolled his eyes. "You two are insufferable."

Pansy plopped down next to him, smirking. "Oh, let them be. It's cute."

Mattheo hummed, running a hand lazily up my thigh. "Cute, huh?"

I shot Pansy a wink before turning my attention back to Mattheo, tracing a finger along his jawline. "You didn't seem to mind when I was up there dancing," I teased.

His grip tightened slightly. "Yeah, well, maybe I don't like sharing the view."

Blaise snorted, tossing back a shot. "Merlin, just kiss her already, Riddle."

Mattheo smirked but didn't move, instead just watching me, waiting to see what I'd do. I let the tension build for a moment, then leaned in, brushing my lips against his ear.

"Make me," I whispered.

Mattheo let out a low chuckle, his grip on my waist tightening as he pulled me impossibly closer. His breath was warm against my skin, his lips brushing against my jawline as he tilted his head.
