32. The Newcomers

Heather sat down next to me, eating her food.

I watched as Hiccup talked to Dahlia, completely ignoring Gunnar. I wished I could hear what they were saying.

Eventually, Hiccup grabbed Dahlia's hand and the two walked towards Astrid and I. The two sat down in fron of us.

"What'd you think of Gunnar?" I asked Dahlia.

"He was very pushy, but otherwise he was nice." She said softly.

"Nice." Hiccup muttered under his breathe.

"Huh?" Dahlia looked over at him.

I started to take a sip of my water.

"Oh, nothing." Hiccup smiled sweetly.

In amusement, I accidentally snorted, my water spilling all over my lap. Hiccup, Heather, and Astrid burst out laughing.

"Are you okay?" Dahlia asked, though I could tell she was on the verge of laughter.

"Y-yeah." I barely choked out as Iet out a mix of a laugh and a cough.

"You okay, doll?" Gunnar walked up and put his hand on my shoulder.

I shrugged him off, a glare on my face. "Fine."

"Gunnar!" I heard a small voice ring out. I turned around to see a cute little girl jump into the mans arms.

"Hey." Gunnar pushed her off of him.

"Hey, honey. What's your name?" I smiled.

"I'm Tawoa. I'm two." The little girl smiled back.

"Taloa." Gunnar corrected quietly.

"Nice to meet you, Taloa. I'm Talulahh." I couldn't help but grin.

"This is my little sister." Gunnar rolled his eyes.

"Did you know they have pet dragons here?" Taloa said, her eyes dazzling.

"I did." I chuckled. "I even have one of my own."

Taloa's eyes lit up. "Can I meet it? Please."

"Of course." I looked up at Gunnar. "Can I steal you sister for a while?"

"Keep her." Gunnar walked off.

"Let's go." I stood up, waving at the smiling group behind me.

"Up." Taloa tugged at the hem of my shirt. I picked the girl up, placing her on my hip.

We walked out of the Great Hall. "Saph! Chip!" I called out.

The two flew up to me, landing a few feet away. "This is Sapphire and this is Chip." I pointed at each dragon, setting Taloa down on.

"Wow. Hi, Sapire. Hi, Chip." Taloa marveled, sweetly mispronouncing the Death Song's name.

Sapphire nuzzled the small girl, making her giggle. "Wanna go for a ride?" I offered.

Taloa gasped. "Yes! Yes!"

I picked her up and sat her on my saddle, I quickly crawled on behind her. "Don't worry, she'll go slow." I assured.

"Thank you." Taloa said

Saph took off slowly, Chip close behind. "Woah! This is so cool." Taloa gasped. "Can I get a dragon?"

I laughed slightly. "We'd have to ask your brother."

"I hope he says yes." She smiled. Taloa had soft, dari hair, and brown eyes like her brother. She had a cute button nose and pretty freckles all over her face.
