32. The Newcomers

"Can we ask him right now?" Taloa looked back at me sweetly.

"Sure." I directed Saph back towards the Great Hall. We landed and I helped Taloa off. "Let's go find him."

She grabbed my hand and led me into the building. "Gunnar." Taloa smiled.

"What do you want?" Gunnar grumbled, muttering something under his breathe as the girl he was hitting on walked away.

"Can I get a dragon?" Taloa jutted out her bottom lip.

"Do what ever you want." Gunnar shoed her away.

I frowned. I hated the way he treated her. "Yay!" Taloa cheered.

"One second." I picked Taloa up and walked towards Hiccup, Dahlia, and Astrid. "Watch her for a minute?"

"Of course." Dahlia said, taking the girl from me.

I then turned around and stormed towards Gunnar. "What is your problem?" I pushed him.

"What the-" Gunnar turned around.

"Why are you so rude to Taloa. What did she ever do to you?" Suddenly, my head snapped to the side. He had punched me.

I licked my lips, the metallic taste of blood coating my tongue. I slightly laughed in surprise.

"I knew you were a jerk." I shook my head as blood dripped from my mouth. I then slapped him across the face. Angry, he tried to grab my neck.

"Hey!" I heard my fathers booming voice, Gunnar Immediately let me go. "What happened?" He looked at Gunnar.

"He doesn't-" I started.

"I was talking to him." The chief cut me off. I bit my lip to keep from saying something I shouldn't.

Gunnar then spoke, "She just came up to me and slapped me." He played victim.

"Tu?" My father turned to me.

"He has no respect for his sister, who did nothing wrong, and he has absolutely no respect for women or anybody around him." I raised my voice slightly.

"Talulahh, you are a healer, the daughter of the chief, you keep peace. Not bring chaos. I'm dissapointed in you." Stoick said. Gunnar watched with a smug look on his face.

Dissapointed. Dissapointment. Failure. Worhtless. Weak. Nothing. I'm nothing.

I stormed out of the Great Hall. It had started to rain, but I didn't care. "Come on, Saph." I climbed onto my saddle. Chip had already gone home, most likely when the rain had started.

Sapphire gurgled in sympathy, taking off. I laid back and closed my eyes, letting the rain pelt my face.

"What happened in there?" I heard Astrid's voice. The one girl that made me feel like I was perfect.

I didn't bother opening my eyes,"I hate the way he treats Taloa. Let alone women in general."

"Yeah, but that's no reason to start a fight." She replied. "Now your stuck with a busted lip."

"How will I kiss you now?" I grinned.

Astrid laughed, "What a flirt."

"Only for you, sunshine." I sat up.

"Do you wanna stay with me tonight?" Astrid asked.

"Yes, please." I sighed. "I'll go tell Hiccup." I said.
