Cameraman #212 - SS

Start from the beginning

'Because I'm your brother of course, I twisted the lead scientist to let me go on this mission with you.' He leaned on his truck.

I groaned internally, I really wish I could speak. 'Where are the Urinals?' I asked.

'In a small section of the city, I'm going to use our truck to take us there.' He climbed in.

I followed and so did our sister. The drive was dull to say the least, we had a pretty good grip on this city so Toilets coming in and out were extremely rare. After the drive we stopped in some alleyway that split into some sections and our brother got out of the truck.

'Aim for the flusher,' he told us, 'to save time we're going to be doing each alleyway individually.'

My sister started to get worried so my brother quickly wrote something down, 'there low-risk remember, besides their moral is in the trash you'll have an easy time.'

He started separating himself from us, I was hesitant to separate from my sister but she seemed to gain some confidence and also started separating. I relaxed a bit, we're all relatively close to each other so if something goes wrong one of us can quickly get to the them.

The alleyway was dark, a reminder of my surgery. A few feet in and I didn't see anything until I saw something hit a garbage can. It was a Urinal, he looked scared and I almost felt sorry for him. Almost.

Once he saw me he started running and I gave chase, not like it was a chase. They're slow, so I really just needed to walk. I can see why they're becoming an extinct species. When I approached him I decided to be merciful out of pity.

I was going to kick him over and drag out his death but seeing something as pathetic as this was honestly disheartening. He was still trying to run, although he wasn't doing a good job at it, I grabbed his flusher and he froze.

I pulled it down and his head started swirling down the hole until there was nothing left. When I let go the Urinal hit the floor in a metallic thud, no wonder these things are low risk even a moron could do this.

If they're all gonna be like this then I hope we have an extra assignment before dinner. I kept walking until the explosion went off. I still remember the sound it made and that crinkling fire that followed after.

I stopped what I was doing and ran off towards the smoke, it was there that I saw my brother and that man. "I didn't want to do it like this," I felt my legs fall.

His voice was heavy and suffocating. My brother looked at him, his fist tightened. "I know it's not fair, but you would have done the same."

Everything in my body was scared of him. His brown suit, his yellow and black tie, and his green glasses. Who is he? "It's for the future, it always has been. And I'm sorry you got roped into it."

"Goodbye, Dale." And just like that he was gone. No transition, no nothing. He just stopped existing in that specific place.

I regained some strength in my legs and ran towards my brother, when I reached him I fell to his side. Oil was seeping out of him, and it wasn't stopping. My brother grabbed my hand and shoved something into it then tightened his grip around my hand.

He forced me to stare at him as he faded, eventually his hand fell and the oil stopped. For a moment, I did nothing. Only staring, not exactly sure on what I should feel. My sister arrived and collapsed to his side, she was crying even if she couldn't show it.

I opened my fist and inside was a note, it read.

'My brother, John, I have handed you this letter because I have died. There are a few things I need you to do since I can't anymore. First, please take my suit, it's nice and I don't want to see it ruined and buried. Second, Do. Not. Let. The. Cameramen. Have. Our. Sister. There are things that they won't tell you so to save her life you must change her number to mine and lower her rank to yours.
