From an outsider's point of view it probably seemed like two drunk girls were walking down the street, laughing there faces of. However to anyone who knew those two girls and there story's it was Agatha and Emily walking down the street together, laughing there faces off, because of the fact that there friends sister followed them through the forest like a lost puppy and they didn't notice. In that moment Agatha was having the time of her life, but in ten minutes she would in fact be having a slight mental breakdown.
„How the fuck did Simon even let Alice believe that there was something wrong?" Emily asked as she tried to control her laughter
„No idea." Agatha said while she was also trying to get ahold of her laughter
„Or, like, when she fell down the ladder thing. How did she not break any bones?" Emily added
„And then there's Simon shooting fire at his own sister." Agatha said, still laughing
The girls walked up to Agatha's house and sat down on the two stone steps in front of her house. Emily untied her black jacket and put it on top of her shoulders.
„So, before you got with Daniel, did you think about being with anyone else? Or like anyone else like that." Emily asked
„Not exactly. I kind of looked at Simon for a while but that was more so admiring his looks than actually wanting to be with him."
„Why not?" Emily asked
„What?"
„Why didn't you want to be with Simon?"
„Oh, well, I don't really know, I just didn't. Simons got problems, that wasn't really a reason but still. I just didn't want to be with him. Plus my admiring his looks never developed into a crush, I started to like Daniel before that could happen." Agatha replied
„What do you mean he has problems?"
„Like he's traumatised and shit. And I think he's really started to process his moms murder now. Took him long enough."
„Yeah I guess." Emily stated
„You know, he could start doing unhealthy stuff like self harm or drinking or whatever."
„Shit, I haven't thought about that." Emily said
„Well, we as his friends should make sure that he doesn't." Agatha remarked
„Okay."
„Wanna get food?" Agatha asked
„Sure." Emily replied
„I have leftover pizza." Agatha stated
„Great." Emily said happily
„Yeah." Agatha agreed as the two of them stood up and she opened the door without any preparation whatsoever for the incoming shock. Emily walked in first and Agatha shut the door behind them. She turned around and jumped back frightened. There was a man sitting next to her mother. He looked about nineteen years old, he had blonde hair and blue eyes and was taller than Agatha.
She stood next to the door frozen. Emily noticed that her eyes were shining with tears but not enough tears to cry, like she had a reason to start crying but then that reason disappeared. Agatha let her breath out of her mouth abruptly.
„Honey, Jason is here." Agatha's mom said
„I can see that." Agatha stated
„Hi?" Emily remarked
„Hello Emily." Agatha's mom said awkwardly
The four of them looked at each other and stood in silence for a while.
„Why is he here?" Agatha burst out
„He is your brother, he can be here!" She responded
„Oh shit." Emily remarked quietly
„What happened? Did you get kicked out and walk from Arkansas to Minnesota? Or did you run here? Or maybe you got yourself kidnapped, tortured and ran away bleeding only to get killed and brought back to life by a dog and then you walked here?" Agatha remarked after turning her attention to her brother
„I did." He replied
„Get brought back to life?" Agatha responded sarcastically
„No, get kicked out. I took a few buses."
„Congrats." Agatha responded after she grabbed Emily's hand and pulled her into her room. She plopped onto her bed face down.
„You okay?" Emily asked
„No."
Emily sat down next to Agatha's feet and Agatha turned around and led on her back. She put her feet on Emily's lap and Emily put her hands on Agatha's ankles.
„He always puts himself in these shitty situations and then whines about them. Jesus." Agatha stated
„Well, he's here now. You haven't seen him in ages so maybe he's changed." Emily said
„I don't know." Agatha responded
„When we walked in, did you think he was someone else?" She asked
„Yes, my dad." Agatha replied
„What did your dad do?" She asked
Agatha looked at her surprised.
„You jumped back when we walked in and yours eyes started to water and then you let your breath out in relief."
„You stealing Daniel's m o?" Agatha asked
„Just in the moment." She replied
„Okay." Agatha sat up and breathed out
„Okay." She repeated
„Alright." Emily said as she joined Agatha's rhythm
„Okay." She said again as a tear rolled down her cheek
„What is it? If you say it you might feel better." Emily said
„Okay, so like a year ago I was at home in Holland, when my dad walked in very drunk, and I was on the sofa and he thought I was my mom and I said «Hey» and I saw that he was drunk and he sat down beside me and got on top of me and I tried to push him of but he was too heavy and I shouted at him to stop but he got undressed and then I lost my virginity. To my father. By rape." Agatha tilted her head back as a couple more tears rolled down her face and dripped off her nose. She bit her bottom lip and Emily came up to her and hugged her.
„That's really fucking shitty, and your dads a dick." Emily said
„Yeah." She laughed through her tears
„I hope that never happens to you again." Emily stated
„Likewise." She responded
„Does Daniel know?" Emily asked
„Nope, just you." Agatha stated
„This is totally not what I imagined when you said that I should sleep over." Emily said jokingly
