Diana and Krystal sat side by side on the edge of the bed, their eyes cast downward, avoiding each other's gaze. The silence between them was palpable.
"I want to tell you something," Krystal broke the silence.
Diana's expression was neutral, but her eyes betrayed a hint of concern."Mm?"
Krystal took a deep breath, her shoulders squaring as she summoned the courage to continue. "As you're my best friend... I think I should tell you this." She paused, her eyes searching Diana's face for reassurance. Diana’s eyes flickered up, her brow furrowing in curiosity.
"I like someone."
Diana's eyes widened in surprise, her face frozen in a mixture of shock and confusion.
"That's... that's great," she stammered, her voice laced with uncertainty."It's a girl.”
Krystal's eyes locked onto Diana's, searching for acceptance.
The air seemed to vibrate with tension as Diana's face struggled to process this revelation.
"Oh... that's... g-great," she stuttered, her smile faltering.Krystal's gaze never wavered, her eyes pleading for understanding.
"Are you okay with that?"Diana's smile returned, this time more forced, as she tried to navigate this uncharted territory. "Yeah, for sure... who's the lucky one?" she asked, her tone a little too bright, a little too curious.
“It's….” Krystal started

"Krystal, you have to take a sub in the duet of badminton. Andrew is extremely injured. Come soon."
Rachel's words tumbled out in a rush, leaving Krystal no time to process her emotionsKrystal's gaze flicked to Diana. She could see the questions in Diana's eyes, but Rachel's urgency left no time for explanations.
With a sigh, Krystal stood up, her eyes never leaving Diana's face. "I'll be right back," she promised, before turning to Rachel.
"Let's go."As Krystal followed Rachel out of the room, Diana was left sitting alone on the bed, her mind whirling with unanswered questions.
Diana pulled out her bag and her fingers closed around her earplugs and phone. Lying down on the bed, she plugged in her earplugs and scrolled through her music library, searching for the perfect melody to calm her racing thoughts.
[I know , you know
What if I told you I like you?
We stay , we go
What if I told you I like you? ]Diana murmured the lyrics along it. Her thoughts swirl back to Krystal.
“I like someone too”
She closed her eyes to calm herself with the rhythm of the song.As the warm rays of the setting sun filtered through the clinic's windows, Diana slowly opened her eyes, groggily taking in her surroundings. She was met with the sterile smell of antiseptic and the faint hum of medical equipment. She realized she must have dozed off.Reaching for her phone, Diana's fingers brushed against the screen.A message from Krystal caught her eye.
(We won.. I will be right back to you.. don't leave)
Just as Diana was about to respond, the door creaked open, and Krystal walked in.Her eyes sparkled with triumph, and her hair was slightly disheveled, framing her flushed cheeks. Her smile of triumph radiated to Diana.
As Krystal approached, her eyes filled with concern.
"Hey, how are you now?" Krystal questioned, her voice soft and gentle.Diana chuckled, her eyes drifting to the injury.
"I'm good, I guess.”Krystal sat down beside her,as close as she could, their thighs touching.
Diana looked at Krystal,"You were about to say something?"Krystal's gaze locked onto Diana's, her eyes burning with an inner fire. She carefully took Diana's hand, enclosing it in hers. The touch sent a jolt of electricity through Diana's body, making her heart skip a beat.
"I feel different," Krystal said, her voice barely above a whisper, her eyes fixed on their entwined hands. "About you. I see you differently now, Dee."
Diana's heart was racing, her mind reeling with the implications of Krystal's confession.
