Invisible Strings

Jayjay's POV
I slipped out of my bed and directly headed into my en suite. I stepped into the shower and closed my eyes, leaning my head back and letting the jets clean away the mild fog I feel from last night's scotch. I didn't have much, just enough to numb the lingering feelings of the past. I'm moving back to the Philippines after two years but those feelings, those people and the Jayjay I used to be are all gone. I'm not that naive girl anymore who was desperately in love with Mark Keifer Watson. I'm not that girl anymore who treated Section E like my own family and yet they betrayed me, placed bet over me like I was just fuckin' nothing. But thinking about that heartbreak and betrayal makes me wanna cry, makes my breathing tight but I'm stronger than that and I've promised myself that I'll never cry for those losers again.

I ended my dilemma and stepped out of the shower. I grabbed my towel and dried myself. I put my clothes on and put some makeup on. Today is my flight back to the Philippines because Kuya Angelo is getting married and Aries and Aunt have requested me to come back to meet Kuya's fiancee and helped me get transferred to HVIS yet again and because of my good fortune, I got in Section E yet again.

Ughhh I literally hate those people.I know it'll be difficult for me to see their faces yet again but obviously they don't matter to me anymore so obviously they'll be mere strangers to me. My friend Beck picked me up from my apartment and dropped me off at the airport. While I was waiting for my flight I called Aries and damn he was so happy that I'm moving back.

Aries and I are very close since we were just little kids. I always share my feelings , how my day went and all that stuff with him. He's like my best friend. When I boarded the plane and got on my seat, I immediately closed my eyes and that past that I left behind, those memories which I pretend to forget started roaming in my mind.

*Flashback*

I was riding my bicycle to Aries's house which was not very far from mine as his friends were going to be there and we were going to discuss about tomorrow that is our first day of high school.

I was very excited to meet them especially Keifer but I just hope Ella wouldn't be there. I don't know but something about that girl isn't right. No No No everything about that girl is fake especially the smiles she gives me. I have known her since we were 8 or something and honestly I don't like her since then and nowadays she's seeing Keifer like they're not committed because obviously Keifer doesn't do relationships but they're just more than friends but less than lovers. But the way she follows Keifer everywhere and clings onto him everytime makes me wanna punch her face.

I reached Aries's house and rang the doorbell and obviously me being lucky enough saw Ella as she opened the door for me and welcomed me with her fake smile and I smiled back. As I entered the house Percy hugged me tightly. Typical Percy.

"Long time no see, my baby sister." Percy said and I chuckled, we literally met yesterday.

"Get away from her, she's not your sister."Aries said annoyingly.

"Aww baby I know you're jealous because I didn't hug you " Percy said and jumped on Aries. We all laughed.

As I was watching Percy and Aries's sweet little fight , someone suddenly flicked my forehead, who else obviously Keifer.
I looked at him and he was looking at me with his typical intense look. I opened my mouth to say something but he said first.

" Hey lil bird, got up early huhh!! Excited to see me or something?" Though it was true but still I punched him lightly on his arm.

"Stop giving me that look or your girlfriend will get jealous." I said annoyingly.

"Firstly she isn't my girlfriend and secondly what 'look' are you talking about. " He said with a mischievous grin on his face.

I ignored him and that's when I noticed Yuri who was watching everyone quietly as always. I went to him and waved to him.

"Hey Jay how are you? And btw in which Section are you in?" He asked me and I was about to answer but Aries spoke before me.

" She got in Section E. " He said and laughed. I mean I know my grades weren't that good in Grade School but still he shouldn't be making fun of me like that. I got annoyed and said,

" You loser, I'll get better grades than you in high school. Just wait and watch."

"Jayjay actually it isn't just about the grades, Section E is for the students who have records of suspensions and violations. That is why Keifer and Yuri are also in Section E." Ella said with her fake sympathetic look. Now I'm happy that I'm in the same section as Keifer and she isn't but wait a minute-

" You guys used to get involved in fights together so why are Keifer and Yuri in Section E and you and Percy are in Section A." I asked Aries.

"Because Keifer used to take all the blame of fights on himself and Yuri once punched a student in the cafeteria and got suspended for a week." Aries replied and I looked at Keifer and he winked at me with a smirk on his face. Ughh this shameless guy is never really serious but it's really hard to believe that Yuri punched someone like that.

"But I never got suspended, why the hell I'm in Section E." I said and they laughed in unison.

"You never got suspended because Kuya always saved you. Your actions back then were really violent." Aries replied.

"Remember when you stabbed Steve with a pencil." Keifer said.

"And when you punched Alex so hard that his nose started bleeding." Percy said.

I don't know how these losers remember every single embarrassing thing I did back in grade school. As I was glaring at them Aunt Gemma came and hugged me.

"Jayjay, how are you my baby, come inside I've made you muffins." I got so excited when I heard about the muffins.

" Wow, your mood really lit up after hearing about food." Aries said and they laughed again.

I was about to hit Aries but food is more important. Hehehehehehe... We all talked for a while and then I checked the time and I guess it was time for me to leave, mom must be waiting.

" Guys it's time for me to leave, mom must be waiting." I said and I was about to leave but Keifer held my hand and said,

"Lemme drop you." I was about to agree to him but Aries glared at me and it was not possible because I've brought my bicycle.

"Nah it's fine , I've brought my bicycle." I was about to leave and then I noticed that Ella was glaring at me like she'll shoot me with just her looks. I ignored her and left for my home.
