Invisible Strings

Jayjay's POV

I was still in bed but I couldn't sleep after Keifer said those words. I don't wanna believe in him again but a stupid part of me still hopes that he isn't lying. I don't know I'll go crazy.

I opened my eyes and checked the time. It's
1am and I just can't sleep. I checked my phone and noticed that Aries had texted me.

Message: Hoping Keigan is doing fine.

Message: Try to stay away from Keifer

Message: He'll manipulate you again!

I know Aries and Keifer aren't friends anymore but he broke the bro code first. I don't know if like Keifer didn't break my heart back then. Who would I've chosen between Aries and Keifer?

I don't know why I'm thinking such stupid things. I want to sleep. I couldn't sleep so I decided to check on Keigan. I went to his room and noticed that he was sleeping peacefully. He was looking so stressed even in his sleep. He was sweating and mumbling something. I wiped sweat from his forehead and turned the AC temperature up.

I'm really tensed about this kid. He has suffered a lot. I've seen him grow up. Keigan was always like the younger brother I never had. He was close with Aries, Percy and Yuri too.

When Keiren was born, we all were so happy. Aries was very attached to Keiren. He used to take him to the park, play with him and considered him as his own brother. Aries is a very caring guy, he even cares about me like I'm younger than him.

I was heading back to my room when someone held my hand and pulled me inside a room and obviously I knew who it was.

Keifer.

"What are you doing?" I asked him.

"Jay, I wanna talk to you. Just listen to me once."

"Keifer, it's late. Let's talk tomorrow."

"No, please can we talk now. Please just listen to me once. I can't keep it inside me anymore." He said liked a child. I nodded and he took me to the roof of his house. We were both standing against the grill of the roof in silence. I broke the silence first.

"So, what do you wanna talk about."

"About us."

"Keifer, there's nothing left between us to talk about."

"Jay, I wanna explain something to you. Please Jay. I love you Jay. I can't see you with someone else."

"But I don't love you Keifer. Not anymore. I did once but you fucked it up. Do you think I can trust you again? Yes....yes I forgave you but I didn't forget. Those wounds are still there." I said controlling my tears back.

"I know I hurt you Jay but trust me when I said 'I love you' , it was one hundred percent real. I loved you and I still do."

"BUT I DON'T LOVE YOU ANYMORE KEIFER AND I DON'T CARE IF YOU DO." I screamed and tears streamed down my face.

"Why...why don't you love me anymore Jay? Do you love someone else? Is it that Beck?" He asked while tears started flowing down his cheeks.

I didn't reply but I just kept on staring at him. I never thought of Beck like that. He's just a friend to me and he'll always be a friend but that doesn't mean that I love Keifer.

"Jay, is there something between you and him?" He asked again.

" That's none of your business." I said and started walking towards the guest room. I turned back to see if he was following me but he wasn't. He was just standing there and staring at nothing.
