Invisible Strings

Sir Alvin told us yesterday that a new transferee is joining us from today. I just hope she/he isn't a troublemaker. We don't have enough energy to deal with more troublemakers. Since Jay left us, Section E has started fighting among themselves again. But since Sophia joined us last year, they're trying to improve themselves. They all let Sophia in Section E because of the guilt they felt because of what they did to Jay. They all treat Sophia so kindly including me. Sophia is a nice girl. Her kind and jolly attitude makes me remember my Jay. She reminds me a lot about Jay. I wish I'd treated Jay the way I treat Sophia. She wouldn't have left me. But I failed. I lost the only girl who loved me with her whole heart. The way she cried that day, her crying still haunts me in my dreams. I was leaning back on my chair when Sophia entered the class. She smiled at me and I smiled back. She sat on the chair next to me. The chair where Jay used to sit. Though I never let anyone sit there but Sophia argued with me multiple times to sit there and finally I let her sit.

"So the new transferee is coming today. What do you think,it's a boy or a girl?" She asked me and I shook my head.

"I don't know Sophia." I told her.

"Why are you even the class president, you know nothing. But I really hope it will be a boy or else I won't get special treatment." She said and chuckled.

She was still chit chatting with the boys when Sir Alvin entered the class. Unlike his usual boring face, he had a smile on his face today. That was a rare thing.

" Good morning Section E , as I informed you all yesterday that a new transferee is joining us from today. Here she is." He said and pointed towards the door.

We all looked at the door and we all were equally shocked to see that it was Jay, my Jayjay. I rubbed my eyes again and pinched myself to make sure that it was Jay only. But I wasn't dreaming, she was my Jayjay.

" Welcome back Mariano, welcome back to HVIS. So how was your experience at your school in NYC." Sir Alvin asked her and she slowly entered the room.

" Welcome back? Does Sir Alvin know her or something?" Sophia asked me. But I literally froze seeing Jay. At this moment only she mattered to me. She scanned the whole room but didn't even look at my side. It literally hurt so much seeing her avoiding me.

She was looking so beautiful. Her hair were longer than before, she was looking pale, her lips were looking more pink and her eyes were looking beautiful as always. She was looking so pretty.

" Your eyes literally lit up seeing the new girl huhh?" Sophia said annoyingly. I ignored her yet again.

"Mariano, would you like to introduce yourself again?" Sir Alvin asked her.

" Hey guys, I hope I don't have to introduce myself but I'll let you know one thing, don't try to talk to me again as I'm not looking forward to talking to you guys again." Jay said and the whole class started whispering.

"She's so rude man. But wait a minute..do you guys know her or something?" Sophia asked yet again. Honestly at this point this girl is irritating me.

"She's changed man!!" Eman whispered to Ci.

"She's not looking like the same Jay anymore." Yuri said and Sophia was visibly shocked.

Jayjay sat in the front where no one else was sitting around.

"So she's Jayjay, the girl who got herself transferred two years ago, the girl you call 'Mutya of Section E'." Sophia said and I nodded.
