Invisible Strings

Sophia's POV

I sat next to Jay because I wanted to know how she found out about that bet but it must be hard for her to remember all those painful memories again. So I dropped the plan to ask her. I'll ask someone else. Though she's very sweet and actually pretty. I'm kinda jealous that she and Keifer have a past.

I genuinely wanna know if Keifer was in love with her too or not. But obviously I can't ask him directly. He'll definitely get angry.

Umm....I know Yuri won't tell me. But I know who'll tell me. I'll ask him after school.

As the final bell rang, Jayjay immediately left the classroom even without saying goodbye to me. So rude...now I'm hurt....just joking...

I was packing my things and I got up and stood in front of his chair. He looked up at me.

"Soph..you want something from me?" Ci-n asked me.

"Let's go home together." I said and he nodded.

We were on our way. I looked at him and finally asked him,

"Can I ask you something?"

"Is it about Jay?" He asked and I nodded reluctantly. He shook his head and sighed.

"Tell me what you wanna know?" He asked and I nearly jumped with happiness.

"So how does she got to know about the bet?" I asked.

He sighed and finally answered, " So, it was like...Keifer wasn't like this before. He was the infamous heartthrob of HVIS. He wasn't interested in relationships but he used to roam around with many girls. At that time it was Ella." My eyes widened with shock.

"Keifer was a Playboy and he was involved with Ella, Aries's girlfriend? It's so hard to believe." I said and he winced.

"Ella wasn't Aries's girlfriend back then. So as Keifer got involved with Jay, Ella kinda got involved with Aries and once Keifer found them kissing in the cafeteria in front of everyone. We all don't know what happened to him but he punched Aries non-stop. Obviously Jay came to the rescue and stood in front of Aries and pushed away Keifer. They started arguing and out of nowhere Percy came and punched Keifer and screamed about the bet in front of everyone. Jay was so shocked. She asked Keifer if it was true but he just stood there like a statue but Yuri confessed to it. Jay literally sat down on the floor and started crying. Then she ran away and after that she never came back to school then Felix told us that she got transferred to a school in New York, he heard that from Percy. She switched her no. and socials and we lost contact with her. After that Aries and Percy stopped talking to Keifer and that was the end of their friendship." He told me the whole story and honestly I felt so bad for Jayjay. She suffered so much because of them.

"But why did Aries and Percy stopped talking to Yuri?" I asked again.

"Aries started hating the whole Section E because of what we did to Jay but I don't know what happened between Percy and Yuri. They just randomly stopped talking." He said and I can see the pain on his face.

I was so shocked to know their past. Now I understand why they accepted me so easily. Because they were guilty of what they did to Jayjay. Their conscience was eating them up.

But I really wanna know. Was Keifer in love with her? And I know Ci won't be able to answer that.
I reached my home and waved to Ci-n.
My mum wasn't home, she must be at work. I took a warm shower and put my clothes on and I texted Yuri.

To: Hanamitchi😒
Message: Hey, let's catch up at the new cafe. Wanna ask you many things!!!

He replied quickly.

From: Hanamitchi😒
Message: Duhh!! You won't give up right? See you at 5!!

At the Cafe

I reached the cafe at 4:45 and I started waiting for him. I texted him to know where he was.

To: Hanamitchi😒
Message: Hey, I've reached there. Waiting for you.

As always he replied quickly.

From: Hanamitchi😒
Message: Dude I'm really sorry but I'm at Keifer's place. Can you come there?

To: Hanamitchi😒
Message: Are u fuckin' mad? I wanna talk about Keifer and Jay's past and u want me to talk abt that at Keifer's place😡

From: Hanamitchi😒
Message: DW he isn't home and I've booked a cab for ya

To: Hanamitchi😒
Message: Will be there soon.

What the hell was this guy even doing at Keifer's place if he isn't home. These guys are really wierd.

In about 20mins, I reached Keifer's place. His mansion was beautiful. Yuri was already waiting for me at the door.

He took me inside and not gonna lie but Keifer's mansion was mesmerizing from inside, it was so cool , just like him obviously.

"If he isn't home, what are you even doing at his house." I asked Yuri and he frowned.

"You know what you ask way too many questions. And FYI , I'm here because Keifer has gone to hospital with Keigan and so here I'm to take care of Keiren as he didn't want to be alone with the helping staff and don't make noise or he'll wake up." He told me.

"So...so..I...I just wanted to ask that....do you think that Keifer liked Jayjay too." I asked him.

"You know Keifer, he sucks at expressing his feelings but I know him better than anyone, he liked Jayjay back then and.... and he still likes her. You know after Jay left, he never got involved with any girl again. He wasn't like this before." He said and smiled.

"You liked her too. Right?" I asked him and noticed the pain in his eyes. He didn't reply but I got my answer.

Keifer liked that girl and he still do but she wants to do nothing with him. Is it my chance? Would I be able to change Keifer's heart? Would he ever fall for me?

Me and Yuri talked for a while and I left for my home after sometime. But I know tonight, I won't be able to sleep. Thoughts about Keifer and Jayjay wouldn't lemme sleep.

Keifer's POV

All of Keigan's reports came normal and I had a sigh of relief. I was really tensed about him. I took him and he fell asleep in the car. Keigan has suffered so much because of my monster father and now Keiren is also growing up without parents by his side. All because of that monster. We reached home and I woke Keigan up. He went to his room to take rest. Keiren was still sleeping. I got downstairs to thank Yuri. He was sitting on the couch and staring into nothing.

"Hey, thank you so much dude for coming here and staying with Keiren." I said and he chuckled.

"Saying thank you and all doesn't suit on Mark Keifer Watson." He said and we both laughed.

" You know I just wanted to tell you something." He said and I winced.

"If it's about Jay, I don't wanna hear it." I said annoyingly but he shook his head.

"It's about Soph, I think she likes you and I'm warning you before it gets complicated between you, her and Jay, just sort it out. I know you don't wanna hurt Soph like we did to Jay." He said and left.

I was really shocked. Sophia has feelings for me. No it can't be true. Maybe Yuri is just imagining things.
