“Every year, mango prices rise... but the taste decreases!” he grumbled, flipping the page angrily.

Shaurya, meanwhile, stood near the window, checking the stock market graph on his iPad with military-level focus.

“Green is good. Red is war,” he muttered, scrolling calmly.

Just then, Rakshit turned to Priyansh, eyebrow raised.

“Tu bada aaram se baitha hai, bhai. Test ki tayari ho gayi kya, ya tujhe bhi Doraemon se hope hai?”

(“You’re chilling too much, bro. Did you even prepare for the test, or are you relying on Doraemon too?”)

Priyansh stuffed a bite of toast into his mouth, finally turning with the most innocent expression.

Rakshit bhaiya... main sambhal lunga! Cheating mein PRO hun! ”

(Rakshit bhaiya... I’ll handle it! I’m a pro at cheating!)

The very moment he got smack from bhavika.

Everyone burst out laughing — except Rihaan, who looked like he was ready to cry over his math book.

Jisne maths banai kash bhagwan ne use naa banaya hota!” Rihaan whispered sadly.

(Whoever invented maths — I wish God hadn’t created him!)

Bhavika walked over, ruffling Rihaan’s hair, “Sab achha karenge. Bas confidence rakho.”

(Everything will go well. Just keep your confidence.)

At that moment, Shaurya looked up from his tablet and said, “Confidence rakho... par paratha bhi khao. War empty stomach pe nahi jeeti jaati.”

(“Have confidence… but eat your paratha too. Wars aren’t won on an empty stomach.”)

“ Heer go and get ready betu” Bhavika said cupping her cheeks. “ Don't worry hmm? We know you'll will ace your exam! ”

“ Pencils, pens, admit card, sab rakha hai? ” shaurya asked and three of them nodded yes as it's their unit tests.

“ Good ! All the best” He nodded and they muttered thank you.

{ As per roll number, Heer is in this room, priyansh priyanshi other. And it's monthly unit tests, so 12th class student sit with 11th class! Rihaan krunal mihir aryan are in their class. Rutvik will be in this class . I hope it's clear! It used to happen in my school! Half students in their own class and half in other assigned class! }

The soft murmur of nervous students filled the classroom as exam day loomed over everyone like a thick cloud. Heer Sharma sat on the last bench of her class, her fingers clasped tightly around the edge of her desk. Her eyes occasionally darted around the room, trying to calm the jittery storm building inside her. She had been assigned to this seat as per roll number—far from her usual group. Priyanshi and even  Priyansh had been sent to other rooms for the exam. That left her alone, swallowed by unfamiliar faces.

Soon, the seniors—12th graders—started filing in quietly, assigned to sit in empty seats for their exam too. The teacher, Mrs. Kapur, a strict and often biased woman, began walking down the aisle with stacks of question papers and answer sheets.

Heer quickly unzipped her bag to pull out her cardboard, water bottle, and exam kit. The bottle clinked softly against her desk, and she placed the cardboard carefully. But then her hands stilled mid-air.

The kit wasn’t there.

A wave of panic washed over her.

Her heart sank. She remembered taking it out last night to add new pens. In her hurry this morning, she’d forgotten to put it back.
