Remember Me

"Amy, we are so happy you're ok!" Tails beamed with joy. 

"Of course I am okay!" Amy smiled.

"But you sure gave us a scare!" said Knuckles. "We thought you have given up something special." Tails then gazed at her in horror.

"Amy, what did you give up?"

"Give up what?" Amy wondered in confusion.

"Did she hit her head or something?"

"I don't know." Tails replied. 

"Oh, how is Mr. Sonic?" Cream asked in worry. 

"I think Sonic is doing okay, he's a little banged up, but he'll be just fine! Right Amy?" Tails winked at her, knowing that was Amy's desired wish to keep him safe. Amy looked at them blankly, not knowing who they were talking about.

"About who?"

"You know, if Sonic is doing ok!"

Amy continued to look at them in confusion.

"Who are we talking about again?"

"Uh oh." Tails and Knuckles said at the same time.

"You know, Sonic the Hedgehog?" Knuckles tried to clarify with her in worry.

"Who the Hedgehog!?" Amy stood there looking lost. Tails and Knuckles froze there in shock of what is happening. They know now what has been sacrificed. Knuckles, Tails, and Cream looked over, seeing the doors open who appears to be Silver, Blaze, and Rouge assisting a struggling Sonic in the hospital.

"Oh my, what happened to Sonic!?" Vanilla cried in worry, seeing the poor, blue hedgehog. 

"No!" said Sonic, resisting Vanilla's assistance to place him on a bed. "I'm here to see Amy." Rouge, Silver, and Blaze continued to assist him until he reached her bed.  "Amy!" Sonic smiled in delight seeing that she is ok. He hovered closer to the side of her bed about to reach for her hand. "I am so glad you're-"

"I'm sorry...who are you?" Amy asked as she moved her hand away before he could touch it.

Sonic chuckled nervously from her response. "Very funny Amy, you know me!" He then examined her face expression that it was no joke. No...she couldn't've...forgotten me?...Or did she?

"Sonic, we should talk." said Tails as he and Knuckles looked upon him in concern. Sonic read their concerned expressions and gazed back at the pink hedgehog, not wanting to believe it. He saw the face expression she was giving, as if he was a total stranger to her. His face turned pale from this sight.

"Sonic!" Knuckles called as he pulled Sonic away from the bed into another room.

Knuckles helped him sit on a chair, watching Sonic rest his elbows on his legs as he was in deep thought.

"You know what's going on, Sonic-" Tails muttered. 

"Yes." Sonic rested his head on his hands in distress. "I have a feeling what she had already given up. Does she remember you both?"

"Oh yes, she remembers everyone who is at the hospital just fine."

"But she doesn't remember me!?" Sonic cried looking up with his is hands on the sides of his head. Tails and Knuckles went silent.

"Look, maybe it is something temporary." Tails replied.

"No, I heard that Amy was about to give up something when that d-dragon had her in his power!" Sonic gritted his teeth, gripping his hands on his knees, hoping it was a dream.

"Maybe she has a concussion and her memory lacking for a short amount of time, and has given something else up." said Knuckles. Sonic got on his feet, trying to walk out the door. He almost fell before grabbing hold of the door frame.

"I hope you're right, Knuckles." Sonic grabbed hold of the hospital walls to reach the other room.
