3rd Person's POV
The afternoon sun washed the schoolyard in a soft amber glow, laughter echoing faintly in the distance as students lingered after class.
Y/n sat beneath the cherry blossom tree near the quiet edge of the campus - not the one she remembered from childhood, but a new one Aizawa had arranged to be planted there. The petals shimmered faintly as they fell, and she watched them with a calm, distant look in her eyes.
She was fifteen now - taller, her features more defined but still gentle. The faint green hue in her hair caught the sunlight, and her eyes, always bright, carried that same unreadable wisdom that made her seem older than her years.
Aizawa often said she had "the patience of a sage and the sleep habits of a cat." He wasn't wrong. Over the years, she had learned to live quietly, to blend her strange grace into the rhythm of this world - a world of quirks and heroes that still didn't entirely feel like her own.
But she had learned to adapt. To listen. To grow.
A familiar shadow stretched across the grass.
"Still daydreaming under trees?" came a calm voice.
Y/n looked up, smiling faintly. "You make it sound like a bad habit."
Shoto Todoroki stood there, taller now, his soft childhood features sharpened by time. His mismatched eyes - gray-blue and scarlet - reflected the sunlight, steady and unreadable. The faint burn mark on his left face had healed over the years, but its presence spoke of the pain that had shaped him.
He sat down beside her, setting two cans on the grass. "Apple or strawberry?"
Y/n blinked, a small laugh escaping. "You still remember?"
"You used to drink strawberry milk every day," he said simply, handing her the can. "Some things don't change."
She accepted it with a quiet smile. "Thank you."
They sat there for a while, the silence between them familiar and comfortable - the kind built over years of quiet companionship rather than words.
Then Shoto broke it. "Father wants me to take the U.A. recommendation exam."
Y/n turned to him, curious. "That's soon, isn't it?"
He nodded. "Eight months."
She tilted her head, the faintest hint of amusement in her eyes. "You'll do well. You always stay calm under pressure."
He glanced at her. "And you?"
She hesitated. "Nezu and Aizawa... they both want me to take it too."
That made him raise an eyebrow slightly. "Both of them?"
"Mm-hm," she said softly, tracing her thumb over the metal can. "It feels strange, being recommended by the principal himself. I didn't think I stood out that much."
