It was an early Saturday morning. I always get up early, especially since Lilly left my life. She always kept me motivated to do something. I put on my clothes and grabbed my phone, and I left my house.

I was hoping I wouldn't bump into Carmen today. I have seen her once or two times, but when I do, all I do is turn around and continue on another pathway. I'm just pissed at her for pretending she was actually hearing me out, when in reality, she already knew all about it and didn't tell me.

Life sucks. Living sucks.

I checked my phone seeing many texts from my mom, asking where am I, and why I'm so distant from her. My mother is an alcoholic. Keeping distant from her is one thing I'll never stop doing. Ever since she got divorced she has been like this.

I decided to text Carmen.
⠀

5:17 AM: Meet me on the regular pathway please. We need to talk.
⠀

5:19: Oh okay. See you in five minutes.
⠀

I didn't know why I messaged Carmen. I needed to clear my head up and understand things. If her side does not seem so bad as it looks like right now, then things can work out between us as friends. Although, if it is something ignorant then I'm completely done.

A couple of minutes later, I see the same girl who I see every morning walking towards me.
