It was a few days before Christmas and Sam stood with Aaron and the kids in line for a family picture with Santa.
Bea excitedly bounced as they got closer and closer to Santa. When it was finally their turn she could hardly contain herself. Sam quickly adjusted the excited four year olds bow in her long curly hair. They had let both Bea and Griffin pick their own outfits.
Bea had gone with a green dress with a red bow. Griff, on the other hand had insisted on wearing his spiderman costume. Aaron had laughed so hard that Sam agreed that they had to let him wear it, after making him promise not to wear the mask. Aaron fixed the two year olds wild brown hair, patting it down so it wouldn't stick out.
"Alright, lets go see Santa." Aaron told the kids when the people ahead of them left. He pushed the stroller up and him and Sam each grabbed one of the twins.
By the time they got to Aaron and Sam joined them, Bea had already told Santa that she wanted a dolly. Aaron sat next to Santa, and Sam sat on the other side.
"Griff, why don't you tell Santa what you want?" Sam said encouraging him while she fixed the bow Bea had insisted one year old Winnie wear on her nearly bald head.
Griffin shyly hid his face against Aaron's chest. Aaron smiled over at Sam, who rolled her eyes. Usually little Griffin wasn't shy.
"Why don't you show Santa how spider man shoots his web?" Aaron suggested.
Griff liked this idea and pretended to shoot web at Santa, who chuckled like any Santa would. They finally convinced Griff to sit on Santa's lap. He only agreed if he got to sit on the lap that was next to Mommy and Winnie, so Bea being a good big sister switched and sat next to Daddy and Harrison.
"One, two, three, smile." The girl dressed as an elf said. "Alright, it looks good, do you want to come look?" She asked. Sam jumped up and looked.
"It looks great." She put Winnie back in the stroller, then took Harrison from Aaron's arms so he could pick up Griffin. "Look how sweet we look." She said to Aaron. He looked at the picture She held up and she saw the same look she felt.
Looking at her family picture Sam knew she had her happy ending.
