I wake up in my room, the windows open as the sun shines in on my plant friends. I feel a warmth around me.I look in the direction of it.
Comet is on my tummy, I smile and pet the dark kitten on the head as he purrs.
Comet stands and stretches, I follow and mimic his movements.
I slip on my socks and go to the lounge, rubbing my eyes.
I stumble past the kitchen and see Jake cooking a feast.
I gawk at the amount of food he's preparing.
"You act like you're cooking for 10!"I squeak.
"More like 12." Jake says, wiping sweat off his forehead.
"Huh?" I ask in utter confusion.
Jake points to the lounge, I peek in and see everyone from last night sitting around the room.
My eyes dart around in surprise.
"Holy." I mutter under my breath.
I suddenly spot Jack coming from the guest bathroom down the hall.
My heart stops.
He walks up to me and wraps his arm around me.
"How's my favorite human?" He asks, messing up my hair with his hand as everyone turns to look, finally realizing I'm awake.
"Good morning!" They all shout cheerfully.
I escape Jack's grip and back away from him.
He looks hurt.
"W-why are you all here?" I ask, looking at the room full of pastas.
"Jake said we were allowed over any time and we were hungry. Toby said the food was good so we decided to come and he brought us over." Jeff says, laying on the couch, feet on the coffee table.
I laugh at the group.
They seemed so comfortable here, looking and acting more like family than guests.
Jack looks at me.
I feel his gaze.
For an eyeless guy his stare is strong.
I turn to go get dressed but Jack grabs my hand before I can.
"Can we talk?" He asks me, gripping my small hand in his big one.
I don't want to answer.
I'm so scared and nervous.
I feel my heart pound in fear.
"S-sure..." I finally whisper, trying to hide my fear.
I can sense his relief, but my anxiety is sky high.
I walk to my room, he follows, I watch Toby's eyes follow us, looking at him in fear.
Jack closes the door behind us, walking over to me.
I step back.
This was a bad idea.
I think about screaming as he corners me.
He's right in front of me.
He fishes something out of his pocket and my mouth opens, filling my lungs with air.
He pulls out a flower.
It's a daisy.
I look at the flower, then to the holder in confusion.
