"I picked this for you. I wanted to say sorry, and I saw from you room that you're obviously a nature person." Jack says, handing me the beautiful flower and hugging me.
Daisies are my favorite.
Coincidence?
I take the flower, hugging the tall man in front of me.
He rubs my back gently.
I close my eyes into the surprisingly comfortable embrace.
Jack let's go after a while, looking into my eyes.
"I still have deep feelings for you, I didn't know how to convey this love, so I hurt you... but now I realize I need to protect you..." he says, looking deeper into my (E/C) orbs.
I try my hardest not to blush.
Jack grabs my arms, looking at the last of my bruises and wounds.
He lifts his mask and leans in and licks them, I try to pull my arms away but his grip is iron.
I pull away once he lets go.
"Jeez, Jack... you don't have to do that." I saw, wiping the spit on my shirt in disgust.
Jack tells me to look at them, pointing to my arms as he moves his mask back into place.
As I examine my arms, I see two wounds and a bruise have already healed and disappeared.
I watch in amazement as the last few wounds heal right before my eyes, closing like magic.
I think about Percy Jackson and how he healed himself with water.
Jack has magical healing spit?
"Jack! You're Steven Universe?" I ask, gripping his sleeve in excitement.
Jack seems confused by my reference.
"You can heal things with your spit?" I clarify.
He nods and I see his cheeks raise into a smile.
"Thank you." I tell him, smiling at him. "Those were bothersome."
Jack nods and looks at me intently.
He starts to lean in and suddenly a knock at the door.
I sigh in relief, opening the door.
On the other side is Toby, looking nervous and ready to jump.
"Are you okay? Where's Jack?" He asks, opening the door more.
Jack is sitting on my bed, petting Comet whom is curled up and sleeping right where the sun hits.
Toby looks at me, a bit upset before spotting the cat.
"It that... is that a cat?" He asks, walking over to Comet.
I nod, speaking up.
"Yeah, Jake rescued him. His name is Comet."
Toby picks up the cat by the skin on the back of the neck as it mewls.
I'm about to run over and retrieve my dangling kitten, but Toby places him in his arms properly, holding him.
I watch as he pets the small cat, giggling to myself at how cute Toby looks holding such a small creature in his big hands.
Jack stands up and pets him too.
So much love for Comet.
I watch the two, smiling as the hover over the kitten.
