Nomis's Point of View
Nomis and Madge walked in silence through the cave. Nomis wanted to say something, but she couldn't think. Her mind was blank.
Although it was a long time ago, Madge was the mother figure in Nomis's life. She had been taken away by the Mojang workers when Nomis was 13, and Nomis had never seen her again. Now she was here, and Nomis didn't know what to say.
"There's someone here you need to see," Madge suddenly said, breaking the silence.
"Who?" Nomis asked, confused. Who did Madge know that Nomis would need to see?
They arrived outside the office. Madge smiled at Nomis. "You'll see."
The Witch walked inside. Nomis shrugged and followed her in.
The room was just like Nomis remembered it. The Nether portal in the corner, the desk and chair on the side. The only different thing was the woman standing in the middle of it.
She was an old lady, maybe around seventy years old. Her hair was gray, and she had brown eyes. She wore a faded maroon shirt and loose black leggings. She wore dirty white shoes, and black glasses. She looked familiar somehow.
The lady put her hands to her mouth. It looked like she was tearing up with joy.
Nomis was very confused. Who was this lady?
"Hayleigh..." the woman said softly. She stepped closer to Nomis, but Nomis stepped backwards. First of all, she didn't know who this lady was. Second of all, Nomis's name was definitely not Hayleigh.
When Nomis stepped backwards, the light in the lady's eyes died. She looked a little hurt, but then seemed to realize she should introduce herself. The woman cleared her throat.
"Nomis. I...I'm your mother."
Those words hit Nomis like a train. She was definitely not expecting her birth mother to be here. Nomis didn't even know she had a mother anymore. She thought she was dead.
Nomis stepped back again. She felt a pain in her chest. Tears were welling up in her eyes. Everything started spinning.
"It's okay to be nervous," Madge said. "But yes, this is your mother. She survived fighting Herobrine during the Great War."
Nomis fell to her knees. She had not come prepared for any of this. She shook her head. She needed time to think about this. Everything was still spinning.
Nomis stood up and ran out of the office and back up the stairs.
She ran out into the falling snow in the dark night. Nomis fell to the ground.
Her birth mother was here.

Steve's Point of View
Steve's eyes slowly opened. He was confused to not see his ceiling back at Creektown at first, but then he remembered where he was.
